The Cybertruck will be the 1st mass produced vehicle that leaves the assembly factory with zero manufacturer or model name badging. It will be a designers dream come true. The general public will immediately recognize a Cybertruck and it’s manufacturer by its unorthodox and futuristic exterior styling.

I predict the only “badging“ we will see is a laser etched “Dual”, “Quad” or “Quad Plaid” motor designation on the flat 3mm thick SS tailgate. Tesla would most likely etch the motor designation into the lower right corner.

Other than different alloy wheels exclusive to each trim level the motor designation will be the only sign of which trim level the owner purchased. The factory laser etching into the SS tailgate will be a major obstacle to prevent owners from “cloning“of a lower priced model (Dual Motor) into a top of the line model (Quad Plaid).

I really, really hope so!

NO! I want ZERO badging. I don't want people to know I have the Tri-motor (Or... maybe ? the Quad if the price is right and I can swing it.)

I'm not sure what you mean? Do you mean the badge on the tailgate is the only thing that will keep people from buying a $40k single motor CT and then selling it claiming it's a $70k Tri-motor?

I don't even like logos or emblems on my clothes.

I hope it's naked. I like when things are "if you know, you know"-style. The conversations you get from people who notice are usually better.

Every Tesla has a "T" on the nose, even the Semi. I'm skeptical they will orphan the CT in this regard.
I think you're right. I would imagine that Tesla would want their "T" on the CT, just to claim it's part of the stable.
Also, of interest, though. There isn't a "Ford" oval on the Mach-E. All the badging is the Mustang Pony.

No. Im thinking along the lines of classic base Camaro and the owner cloning it to look like a more desirable Z28 model.

On the Cybertruck owners could install Tesla exclusive Quad Plaid wheels/tires onto a Dual Motor. The Dual Motor laser etched into the tailgate would be a quick giveaway.

At one time Elon said there would be no badging at all on the CT. Of course, he does change direction from time to time.

`T` badging on the front would ruin the aesthetic for me so I would be blacking it out or removing it if they decide to add it.

Are you going to black out the whole truck?

-Crissa
Not the whole truck, but I am wrapping most of it in black. Depending on the location of the 'T' ornament I may be able to black it out, but if its on the hood (likely) I will just remove it.

Like when Prince changed his name to a symbol. Worldwide free press.

Promote the truck design itself as the company signature, blur the different models. And, as they do now, also blur the specific year of manufacture by blending incremental versions.
