A friend was running his hand over one of the front body panels and cut himself a few days ago. Looks like some kinda saw or something must have nicked it. I didn't know it was there. I just got the truck a couple weeks ago.

There is nothing I'm aware of that could have caused this after I got it. He's fine but I don't know what to do. It catches my microfiber when I'm wiping it. Should I go to Tesla? If so what kinda hassle am I looking at? Maybe I should just file it down myself? Will it rust if I do that?

Only other issue so far was the rubber where the bed cover slides starting coming off but I was able to put that back myself and it hasn't come off again.

I'm not a guy who is gonna lost sleep at night if his truck isn't perfect but I worry about someone else I don't know cutting themself. Especially with how enthralled children seem to be with it. I park outside at my business and don't want the liability of that.

I could see this happening on the doors. There was a close call when I slid my fingers across the door's edge unintentionally. I had to inspect my hand immediately after because it felt like I broke the skin, but it wasn't deep enough draw blood.

There are at least 3 examples of people injuring themselves on this forum I can recall. Not counting the frunk finger smashing idiots. This is the 4th.

Couldnt find the 3rd.

My door panels are kinda sharp but not like this. This is on the body panel below the light bar on the vertical drivers side. I dont mind so much on the door panels as I can be careful and/or warn people. I've decided to take it to tesla because the more I look at it the cut stands out and I worry it may affect resale value if I were to sell it. The fit of my body panels is pretty bad, even compared to other cybertrucks. I worry that whoever was assembling it was in a rush and there may be other things. Hopefully they will catch any other defects like this when it is in there.

You go touching my sides and you can indeed expect to take that hand back with damage.

Any metal can be dinged to draw up a burr like this. (And even a butter knife can cut with enough force.) But this is definitely an issue that needs to be buffed out.

Your service center should be able to do it. If that hairline mark is deep, they should just replace the panel, as it won't buff out.

I actually like this… ‘people’ should not be touching my car, maybe they will learn eventually.. . the same reason why I like sentry mode..
