I got this accessory from EVDance and did a few (goofy) tests with it.
I remember when a couple of years ago, we went to a remote Airbnb in Nova Scotia. That place didn't have any chargers outside, and if you traveled through Nova Scotia a few years ago, you would know that it didn't have too many chargers at all (they had a few looong stretches without anything reliable, some Flo charger that barely worked). Back then I had another cable extender; it was much bulkier, and I had to use a couple of adapters to make it work from the dryer's NEMA 14-50. So, in comparison, this thing weighs almost nothing ?.

It's one of those options that you keep in the trunk and don't use 99% of the time until you REALLY need it ?
