First rule about Cybertruck Owner's Club...
Do not talk about exoskeleton
Did it make your list? That the Cybertruck will not be "exoskeleton"?

And I didn't see the one about Cybertruck never making it to market! We are getting pretty damn close to proving that one wrong. Remember, the Model 3 was never going to make it to market either. Or the Model X. All just pipe dream fantasies of a P.T. Barnum shyster/scammer.

We really should document all the B.S. naysaying, especially the stuff that's not speculation but actually just factually wrong when it was said.

To many anti-Tesla, anti-EV clowns to keep track of.

Today's dump of FUD comes to use from Electrek's "Tesla Cybertruck wheel cover flies off in traffic as production looms".

  • Soon someone will lose a ladder or a mattress from a CT then everyone will know it's a "real truck doing real truck things."
  • Does this "thing" have to have special custom tires that were designed for it?
  • These plastic hubcaps keep getting described as aero covers for the wheels. If aerodynamics were consequential in this space, why does the cybertruck have such air-disruptive plastic fender flairs?!? In the turbulence of those fender flairs, the hubcaps are doing very little to improve aerodynamics.
  • And the spokes on the face of the wheel cover aren't disruptive? I think they are more style than function along with the tire sidewalls.
  • Just because we are finally seeing vehicles out in the wild doesn't mean they are close to production. I live close to Detroit, see testing vehicles from the big 3 all the time here. They start road-testing 2+ years in advance when developing a production vehicle. There is no way we see Cybertruck before 2025 model year.
  • I'm not anti-tesla or anything. But so far the cybertruck seems like a bad bet. Will body shops repair this thing? Are there any facilities that aren't gigafactorys that will repair a cold rolled steel body? Did they really need to design a whole new manufacturing process for a truck or should they just have started with something that could already fit on current production lines? Do you need a giant armored and bulletproof truck? What if there's an emergency and first responders need to get inside, can they get into a steel body vehicle with bulletproof windows if power isn't going to the doors?
  • I just wonder how many more months or years til they actually have something finalized for production
  • IS THE WIPER NEXT? remember when the windshield or roof got ripped off right after delivery to some poor customer a few years ago on the other tesla model?
  • Just the beginning for this model.......Who wants to be the first to commit on their reservation?
  • Tesla is supposed to be in limited but genuine production of the CT this year. There shouldn't be any development test vehicles on the road. The design of the vehicle itself should have been locked down long ago. The fact that there is still vehicle testing going on is a virtual guarantee that the first buyers are going to be beta testers whether they like it or not. Typical Tesla practice.
  • ALL of Tesla' efforts at this point should be in validating production machinery, processes and assembler training. The legacies get a lot of flack on EV blog sites, but the legacies know better than trying to get away with the crap Tesla is passing off as "normal". Tesla has been at this far too long to be making rookie mistakes. The legacies would be embarrassed trying this.
  • It's just not right. It's not how top-tier companies operate. Tesla has a head start now, but if they continue this way the legacies will eat them alive. No company can survive in a constant state of chaos.
  • Maybe they can recycle the wheel covers they have already bought into gas station rest room key holders
  • So does the tire need to be clocked to the wheel so that the shape pressed into the tire lines up with the shape of the cover?
  • The whole thing just seems overly complex for no gain at all.
  • Good luck airing down your truck tires with those covers.
  • Nothing about this bad joke has looked cool at any point, and the laughs at the initial unveiling as people thought it was a joke prove it. Anyone saying this is anything other than ugly as sin has serious cognitive dissonance going on.
  • I would pay for this to be an intentional feature. Just hit a button on the dash and launch a Tesla brand shuriken at someone.
  • Finally! Truth in Tesla marketing statements... Because, wow, that wheel cover is sure aerodynamic.
  • My god. I cannot wait for leaked videos of the crash testing disasters of these things!
  • This is the Mad Max mode Elon promised
  • Ok, which of you tesla zombie cybertruck reservation holders want to buy one of the first Cybertrucks now?
  • Musk: "This is all the media's fault"
  • How about a good wheel cover that doesn't fly off while you're driving?
  • Houston, we have a problem.
  • Why is this emblematic of how I feel about this truck?
  • Hubcaps are the future
  • A spinning wheel cap could decapitate a motorctcle riders head and easily force a dismount and crash.
  • Alien dreadnought.......lol
  • That dumb cover actually extends ove rthe sidewall of the tire - so when the tire bulges outwards - it probably popped it right off
  • It's a flop

Tesla Cybertruck Naysayer Superthread 1694622048666
... About It

I included the link for those who maybe want some humor. I only watched a few of his video's years ago and have only taken the time to just glimpse thumbnails ever since then. He has made hundreds of these stale cookie cutter thumbnails with him pointing from the corner.

He's channeled the Bob Lutz credibility standard well, saying "Bye Tesla" on a few occasions. But in (a little) fairness to him, Tesla is not the only car brand or model he's been critical of.

The fact that he has 5.88 million subscribers on YT is beyond my understanding of sheep I guess, except that he's had some years to do it. IMO Sandy Munro should have more subscribers, but his channel is still brand new in comparison.

Oh, the hand waving.... Looks just like a marionette. But he speaks like a hoarse preacher in a charismatic church.

All you have to do is look at what he likes and drives to understand him. His fascination with early 200X toyotas without any tech tells you he is a wrench guy. Dammit, if he can't get in there with anything other than a wrench and a ball peen hammer, then the car is no good! Scotty is being left behind by technology...

Today's Parade of Stupid is courtesy of Observer: "The Real Issue With the Tesla Cybertruck, According to Lotus Top Designer Ben Payne".

  • I'll eat my shorts if this car ends up priced at $50K, with all the R&D and engineering required to pull it off... LOL
  • Not a truck at all. It’s an SUV with an open cargo space. I’d like to see a sheet of plywood in the trunk.
  • And there is absolutely no way it comes on time or under budget. Another Elon boondoggle, buys a company and destroys it from the top down.
  • And it's mid-sized, not comparable to a full sized truck.
  • If you cant put a full sized piece of plywood in the bed its not a truck IMO
  • The length is never the issue, but the 4' plus width between the wheel wells is most important for any building tradesman.
  • The real issue is that there is no Tesla Cybertruck. They're still fighting with General Electric over the design similarities between the 'truck' and some of their stainless steel appliances.
  • Tesla is so far and deep into the cyber truck, it will take years to re-design and the design engineers know it's ugly but they are working for a guy who isn't open minded about it's design.
  • No truck owner will buy this. The lack of external horizontal surfaces makes this "cyber" truck very impractical. Many times I'll lift something from or into my truck bed and rest it on the sides of the bed, or roof of the cab before loading/unloading. Not with this tinker toy - everything slides off onto the ground, by design. The bed also looks way too small for the vehicle size. Can I even get a 4'x8' piece of plywood in there? Don't think so... This is a toy for those who like the idea of driving a truck around, but should NOT be considered by anyone who really NEEDS a truck.
  • There are a lot of people that own trucks that rarely use the bed to haul anything but, on the rare occasion they need to haul something, they will find almost nothing will fit in this truck.
  • You have 2 types of truck buyers….those that want a truck to haul materials…..and those that just want a pretty truck…I expect that most of the Tesla buyers are more interested in a pretty truck.
  • You are a complete dumbxxx and have no clue and have never even been in a Tesla. I have 2 already and have a Tesla account and my truck is on the account with a vin number. You have never owned one or you would know that. I have already customized it and have a price and based on how much they have dropped them recently they will most likely honor it. When you make the revservation you go through and customize your truck just like buying any other car they sale. You would know this if you ever did it. You are just another total dumbxxx on here that is talking like you know someithing but in reality you have no clue.
  • NO. This issue really is the look. Homer Simpson designed a FAR better looking vehicle.
  • If you want people to laugh at you buy one...
  • will be a hit on Mars
  • I'll say it again...it looks like a sheet metal project we would have done in shop class in high school.
  • No way this sells for $50K, would take years to be profitable with all the setbacks and engineering flaws that still need to be overcome.
  • Dumpster fire all the way around. Musk knows it, but he’s unwilling to stop it knowing the ridicule that surely awaits.
  • $100 donations. Tesla doesn’t have to give the money back.
  • Fake orders. They could never fill them anyway.
  • Well, according to their little sign it offers more utility than a truck and more performance than a sports car. Wouldn't bet on it though.
  • Seems the first prototype was just something the L.A. Design Studio could fab quickly using straight bends in surplus stainless sheet from SpaceX across the street. They slapped than on a Model X skateboard and put a tile backboard from Home Depot for the dash. When rolled on stage at the Reveal, the superfans in the audience were live-posting on youtube that it must be a joke and the real pickup would soon be rolled out. They are so smitten by Musk that they pivoted to claiming it is desirable, but reality will bite.
  • I learned long ago, that Eccentric is the word rich people use to describe Weird. Also 'retro-futuristic', first you can't find that in the dictionary. It what is described as oxymoron. You can only be one, either retro or futuristic. In this case retro to what? Anyway, you will never find such a thing in my garage.
  • The Cyber Truck will be in the Hummer segment. A $110k+ niche vehicle. This will not be a high volume $50k truck competing with the F-150.
  • The price will be closer to $60-80k for what they will initially producing.
  • Compete on price with already introduced trucks....no chance.
  • It will only appeal to the "look at me" jag offs.
  • This truck is ugly period. If you don't think so it's because you don't have any taste. The only vehicle that's more uglier than this one is the Volkswagen beetle.
  • Why is it still not in production more than 4 years after teasing with an on stage mockup?
  • Why, if it is so close to production release is there no MSRP being listed for it?
  • Regardless of Musks other perceived successes, this one will likely be his Waterloo event, and it could severely harm the Tesla brand... all because an arrogant contrarian wants it to be an arrogant and contrarian "truck".
  • It's the ugliest thing I've ever seen. I wouldn't be caught dead riding in one much less buy one.
  • Will the Cybertruck halt Tesla March to the automotive industry dominance?
  • That tesla truck will fall out of favor real quick, nothing more than a novelty, headed for the scrap yard.
  • The real issue is that it is rump-ugly and has a small issue with its "bullet-proof" glass.
  • The Cybertruck is as ugly as homemade soap.
  • The real issue is that only MAGA bigots will buy it and put 500 flags on it.
  • Is he saying ugly will sell if it's cheap enough ?
  • ButtholeUgly

Today we get Double Trouble! Courtesy of The CoolDown's "Leaked photo of Tesla Cybertruck fleet sparks frenzy over long-awaited EV":

  • Growing up I have always enjoyed a beautiful new car or concept car. This cybertruck is not the picture I ever envisioned when thinking of advancements in technology.
  • This is a horrible kids drawing come to life and now we all have to suffer.
  • This almost makes the Pontiac Aztec good looking...
  • Sure, the Cybertruck produces no tailpipe pollution...but how about the visual pollution those ugly things will cause when they start appearing on the roads? It has to be one of the ugliest vehicles I've ever seen. Even the Pontiac Aztek looks good by comparison.
  • The only people buying a Cybertruck don't actually need a truck.
  • What am I missing, why is this truck so anticipated with so may people wanting one. It's like a giant Delorean. If you get into an accident the giant pieces of metal on the body are going to be near impossible to get back to straight lines again or expensive to replace.
  • I don't know, I see this as a bad idea, but I guess we will have to wait and see if history has a place for this truck along side the Delorean, Gremlin, and Pinto or if its treated more favorably.
  • Im ready for the new model already. This one seems dated like a 2019 model or something.
  • These trucks hurt my eyes.
  • So have any Reservation holders been contacted to finalize the transaction and get the actual pricing and delivery date?
  • That may be the ugliest car or truck I have ever seen. At least they had the fore site to make it with a stainless steel exterior which everyone knows is so easy to keep clean.
  • Musk has 100 paid internet hacks proclaiming and heralding the Cybertruck.
  • But we don’t even have a price for any level or definitive photos.
  • I am tired of the Hype
  • If truck drivers cared about looks they wouldn't be driving trucks.
  • These trucks are as ugly as sin.
  • Artificial hype generated for a mediocre product that struggles to even be mediocre.
  • "Having more pickups that, like the Cybertruck, produce zero tailpipe pollution" What about all the other pollution harvesting the lithium for the batteries?
  • I'm sorry but these trucks are ugly!
  • looks like a cheap tonka toy
  • EVs are dangerous and pollute the battery waste is so toxic and corrosive it has to be stored like radiation. EV batteries can catch fire by a large enough solar flare from our sun.
  • Is this truck able to haul, pull or do anything a real truck can do for as long . What is the cost to recharge this eye sore. Is this something that will be another piece of history that will fill the junk yards? I've seen the price of a ford ev and who can afford one. With the cost of the battery being in the thousands of dollars and no guarantee how long they will last who would want one
  • These cannot replace an actual pickup truck. But they are for the majority of customers of pickup trucks (people that will use it once a year to carry stuff) so lots of people will take delivery.
  • Not remotely attractive
  • And as global warming INCREASED during the Lockdown it is highly dubious EVs have any measurable effect at all.
  • I know the saying.... One man's trash is another man's treasure, but I absolutely do not understand the allure of these 'trucks.' It is just plain stupid looking!
  • At the end of 2021, Tesla inked a fresh three year lithium supply deal with top lithium producer Ganfeng Lithium The Chinese company will provide products to Tesla for three years starting in 2022.From the core three-electric system to the body sheet metal, to the charging gun, and even some hardware of the automatic driving system, all of them are contracted by Chinese suppliers
  • For “posers” who want the “look at me!”.
  • So, people still want to buy this. As many problems it had getting produced, why? There are lots of other options on the road now.
  • I think I will feel sorry for the Tesla Service department employee when they need to pull in a Cyber Truck for repairs and there are a 100 in the lot. Good luck figuring out which one is which if the battery is dead as they are all the same color.
  • Still, ugly hipster version of an El Camino.
  • Hype, nothing but pure bona fide hype
  • The truck is really ugly, but i like the Stainless steel panels, should help with the rust issues most pickups seem to have
  • I am glad my third grade drawing of a car made it to production!
  • So Tesla has been holding onto deposits for years and collecting interest on them? wow.
  • Lots of people soon as they get it they are straight going to the people who do car wrap, that industry's is going to be too hot. To me those cars should have came with with painted already that stainless steal just going to hurt lots of people's eyes for sure.
  • DeLorean Pickup Truck
  • Some how, it looks more cheaply made? Is it the angle, or are some of the dimensions off? Or is the slab metal sides?
  • E trucks are a good idea but the technology isn't there yet and when it is it might not be affordable
  • Doesn't look like a finished marketable product, looks like it was designed by a high school auto shop class.
  • I won't be honoring my deposit to buy with all those fingerprints. Truck looks horrible. Like my stainless steel fridge when my kids were 5 years old.
  • Cyberjunk will crash after the initial hype dies out.
  • Not clear. how is this a truck ?
  • I'm all on board with EV's and electric pickups, but that thing is ugly. You couldn't give me a Tesla pickup, I'd be too embarrassed to drive it.
  • No thanks-gross and even if they weren't the most hideous things ever, purchasing his cars and trucks support the communist regime and end democracy. NO THANKS. Keep your old junk, Elon.
  • Yes, something is different, it's uglier.
  • Looks like these trucks are more for the urban outfitters crew than the lumber yard/Home Depot contractors. Where do you put your ladders, tools, sheet rock? How's it going to handle the mud and minor scrapes and dings of a construction site? I guess I'll leave this "truck" to Elon, Jeff and crew and stick with my tried and true F 250.
  • No, we were not excited to see the first cyber truck, this has got to be one of the ugliest vehicles since the Gremlin!
  • Those are ugly tin cans.
  • Finger prints galore must come with stainless steal cleaner. I can't see these things working. If you get into minor accident not sure you could take to body shop. One little ding and what you replace entire panel?
  • The fan bois are now rubbing themselves.
  • Really, may you want to discontinue that design. (not for this normal, common-sense guy)
  • Once again, I see no photos but that's actually a good thing as the original cybertruck was the ugliest thing I've ever seen. Makes a naked mole rat look cute. But it doesn't matter anyways because it's been years and no cyborgtrucks so I don't expect to see one in the wild for several more years. Musk is like a dog chasing squirrels. Far too easily distracted and never actually catches anything. He should just play in his twitter sandbox that he over paid for.
  • Garbage vehicle for the under 10 years of age mentality ev crowd
  • I see fingerprints all over the not so pretty trucks just like my refrigerator.????????
  • The photo of a hubcap falling off of a cybertruck got the tezlaites all excited. It has to be the most expensive vehicle ever made with hubcaps. At least yoo can go to a car specialty shop and get new hubcaps when yours fall off.
  • Oh boy another truck a working person can't afford.
  • Truck in name only.
  • That is the ugliest thing I've ever seen; I would be embarrassed to be seen in it.
  • That has to be the most god awful ugliest vehicle ever made.
  • That is not a truck.
  • climate change = libby hoax
  • I want a TESLA F-150 ......
  • lol you call this a truck !
  • It looks gross. Wouldn't take it for free
  • Hubcaps lol
  • They all look really dirty...
  • I am not a Tesla hater, but that truck is so dumb looking, I will be a monkey's uncle if it's a success. And Tesla will need to sell at least a half million of them to call it a success.
  • thats ugggggggllllyyyyyy
  • Anyone who buys one of those trucks has more money than brains. It looks like trash and they are all the same color, how unique
  • Only unintelligent and rich people buy EVs.
  • Who cares about a truck that does not charge when its too cold? Piece of garbage with shiny stickers
  • OMG. Tesla is going with this hideous design. Good riddance.
  • Might be a great idea but they are so ugly
  • I better not see one of these loser trucks in my neighborhood.
  • My God. ONE of them is ugly....But when you see 7 of them on a truck transport.....yeesh. UGLIEST DUMBEST LOOKING VEHICLE IN AUTOMOTIVE HISTORY.
  • Take a big hammer and beat the ugly off that "Truck" until it acceptable in public
  • yawnnnnnnnnnnnnn ... ZzzzzzzzzZZZZZzzz
  • So ugly

Geez, I think ChatGPT could troll better than this lol

Sounds like roasts of another unibodied truck… similar comments directed to the Ridgeline.
