Our much maligned truck takes another one on the chin.

I said it was being treated like the Edsel early on, it was obvious. But it did not have to be this way.

It’s unfortunate, but I remain unmoved by public sentiment built largely on ignorance and will be buying another one to live with me on Kauai. AWD next time. Absolutely no use for a beast over there. Can’t do more than 50 miles an hour, pretty much anywhere.

Can't wait to see the tune change after the robotaxi network switch is flipped to the "on" position.

I might be in the minority even here but after owning and driving a Cybertruck, I have 0% interest in owning or driving any other car or even supercar out there. Nothing turns my head anymore except another CT.

I could care less what the media thinks, or people who blindly follow what the media tells them to think.

Claude or ChatGPT, write an article comparing the Cybertruck to the Edsel and that it might be the biggest flop in automotive history.
And what they’re doing here is referencing a Bloomberg article that I didn’t bother to look up.

No need to read the "article" - we know what it's going to say. Unlike the Edsel, even with the low sales numbers, the CT is still the best vehicle out there. With FSD, it's just asinine anyone would compare it to any other truck running around. At this point, I'm over 17k into FSD driving - the only other vehicle I like driving now is a sports car. Otherwise I let Tesla drive me. I do wish tesla would hurry up with a robovan or one with FSD, I'd buy one just to take all the family on trips.

The Cybertruck was destined to be controversial at best. Delays, and the big price gouge for the Foundation Series turned off even some of the most serious buyers. You can't look at a Cybertruck without thinking about the CEO whose antics continue today. I love my Cybertruck and with a fully functional FSD it is the perfect vehicle for my use case.

That said, I do understand the position of some of the Cybertruck detractors who are of course entitled to their opinions but the level of vitriol directed at Elon himself accounts for the majority of never Tesla individuals I know. None of that makes me regret any of my six Tesla purchase decisions.

By giving many FSD focused test rides to friends and family, I have succeeded in bringing several people into the Tesla/FSD fold. Not one of them has expressed the slightest interest in the Cybertruck but I suppose that says more about my demographic cohort than the Cybertruck itself.

Bottom line is, it's complicated and IMHO, unnecessary headwind caused by loose lips.
which we all know, sink ships.

Fact that people still feel the need to voice their opinion on Cybertrucks, good or bad, is a win in my book. Living rent free in their heads.
