I wish more reviewers just did reviews like this, taking it for what it is not all the hype-pushing and bias… great review and yes it is a great truck! Can’t wait to get mine this weekend!!!!

Very disappointing reviewer. Considering the source (where C/D gets ad revenue from) lots of subtle jabs but they can’t stop the tide that is the CT. For one why just compare electric trucks ? Are regular trucks not allowed to be compared ? Not a single number from ICE trucks mentioned. And then why compare electric trucks in different classes ? I mean is there a C/D article comparing the Tundra to the Tacoma to the Silverado? Rivian is a mid size truck. Using its numbers (weight, CD, etc) is apples to oranges. “And one person second guessed their reservation after seeing this truck?” Hahahaha. 99 others did the opposite. Poor guys tried to please the gasoline overloads. I think failed both them and EV buyers.

There is no point in comparing EV trucks to ICE unless you just want 0-60 numbers. Range, cost will always favor ICE.

probably the most asinine thing I heard today. No one cares about leg room, features for kids sitting in back, cost to operate, resell value, storage, camp / work options, off road capabilities, purchase experience, service experience, etc. Should I go on ? I can.

I love the ford bots in the comment section. Cracks me up reading all the negative comments. It’s like CNN allowed comments again.

But there are a LOT of other things that are important and the Cybrertruck is competitive with.
  • Towing capacity
  • Bed size
  • Bed tie-down
  • Tonneau cover
  • Storage
  • Off-Road with stock vehicle
  • and more
It's been interesting talking to pickup owners who can't carry sheetrock or plywood flat.

I was hoping they were going to talk more about the metal composition analysis from the XRF. Interesting that different metals are used on the front vs sides, but it would be nice to finally know alloy composition percentages so we can compare them against other known SS alloys.

I'm no metallurgist, but as far as I can find, series 301 SS doesn't contain copper, but series 304 does for added corrosion resistance. They were shooting some kind of appreciable copper content on the front of the truck, but I thought I heard 301.

Overall nice review, but 0.75g on the skidpad is terrible; far worse than the R1T on all terrain tires in the same venue. I have been hoping for better in instrumented tests, because that would be an issue for the curvy mountain roads I do most of my driving on.
But you can still have fun with "terrible" skidpad #s on regular mountain-roads. I drove TONS on mountains and I had a lotta fun in my Corolla, which has even worse skidpad marks.

The Cybertruck eats highway miles like a champ and I have zero doubt it'll eat up those mountain curves with ease.
