New horn updated!

Thanks! I tried this, and got a "Update Successful" - but still no horn. We will see what happens over night. You might want to change this response so it doesn't show your VIN and RN. Not sure if others can accidently reset things for you. Very much appreciated!

I had a buzzing sound inside the cabin and then the next day the horn worked but I am not sure if the new horn sound is "better" per se. I am just glad I have a horn.

But you should already have the new horn. It was standard issue for everything produced after August. Do you have one of the older vehicles that they’ve been trying to sell?

Let me be clear. The people who made this “new horn” hype sound so cool need to be dragged out! This is the lamest sht I’ve ever heard! I want to duc when I use it! Sounds like a ran over a Frog! Embarrassing. You know when missery loves company ? That’s what this is, they want you to be as dumb as they were and I fell for it. Don’t do it. Don’t drink the COOL AID !!

Step on a frog and you will get the real feeling of it, maybe from the outside it sounds different? Inside it sound pathetic

Ha! Well it turns out that I do already have the new horn. And I do like it!
Now I am only waiting on the holiday update so I can start using my Apple Watch as a key.

After using the new horn for three weeks, I really like it. Originally, I was concerned it was more quiet, but it isn't. The sound is quite directional, forward, but remains somewhat muted when heard from inside the car. I like that. The sound itself is quite nice.

So new horn works good! Yesterday I'm sitting at a light and 2 20's something's give me a thumbs down...I smile and go about my business. We'll wouldnt you know it their cross walk signal turns and here they come, right across my nose, literally < 5 feet in front. Im not sure what happened but somehow my "new horn" went off right when they were dead center in front of my frunk...poor souls, they both jumped a few feet and went scampering off. I'm going to open a service ticket for the horn randomly going off - damn Tesla quality, another recall, sure Tesla can fix it with a software update!

I think we should be able to choose whatever horn sound we want. within certain limits in loudness and it can't be insulting, vulgar, obscene, or explicit in anyway. Isn't it like freedom of speech? we are free to say whatever we want but not what our cars horn sounds like? duh.

Yeah, all my other cars, going back to at least 1978 allowed me to select whatever horn sound I wanted. As long as it was the horn the car came with.
