Found this video of production Cybertrucks in Giga Texas

I was just walking down a street, ducked into an alley, and found this video of production Cybertruck...I swear!

Probably different groups of people complaining. I, for one, would prefer a truck have a larger frunk over fitting in a garage. Fitting in a garage is actually in last place of my "things I want in a truck" list.
Are you going to charge it next to the curb every night?

Word is, up front is almost entirely thermal (and a bit of BAW)

dont discount the massive casting encroachment either - that’s ~1/2 the width

Mechanical Steering also possible...it would require ample space under the dashboard.

Is this really the frunk size? It looks so… minuscule. You might be able to fit a tool box in there. Did Tesla completely forget about the frunk, so they could focus on a 6’ bed, while lopping off the front of the vehicle, so it would fit in a garage?! I don’t know about these design decisions. Something doesn’t seem right. People love frunks, especially the novelty of having it on a pickup truck.
These are my thoughts as well.

I personally don't see an issue with the frunk being a bit smaller when you have such a big bed in the back.

Plus I'd sacrifice a bit of frunk space to have the top suspension etc.
If you have ever had a bed you will understand how not helpful it is for smaller stuff. It slides around and with the high sail pillars on the CT it will be even harder to reach stuff. Stuff tends to slide toward the midgate area due to braking. The vault in the vault will be hard to access with the tailgate up.

For all the sad frunk people. Don't forget about the sub trunk

I just went out to my truck to see how this sub vault would be. It’s likely that you’re not going to reach perpendicularly to the tailgate as though you are standing in the middle of the truck. It would be odd and a lot of bending. You will probably stand next to the tailgate and reach in. Which is still a long reach. And I doubt a normal humans reach will allow you to open it and reach in with the tailgate up. In that case they should have put a latch on the left and right of the sub vault lid. Next and most importantly, people are lazy. The frunk is one lid to open. The sub vault is likely three.

You are welcome to wrestle with the tailgate and frunk if you want; for me I want to use my muscle for sport. I am surprised you aren’t arguing for walking everywhere, riding a bike, or for horse and buggy. Surely you draw the line somewhere :)
Yes, I do draw the line somewhere. I don't need or want power operated doors on my car. One more thing to break and it just drives the price of the car up more. I have no problem opening them with my arm.

My F-150 has a manual tailgate. Trust me when I tell you it's not a problem. Pull the lever and it drops down. Want to close it? Flip it up. Easy-peasy. A motor in this application is more trouble than it's worth. What is wrong with people these days?

Paradoxically a frunk is of greater use on a truck than any other vehicle.

That being said I don't get the obsession with golf bags in the frunk, that's one of the things I don't see being any different if they are placed in the bed rather than the frunk?
That’s because guys on here like to think they are more sophisticated than they really are. And you are right. The clubs in the vault will be fine.

It’s the small stuff that will be s struggle. Laptops, backpacks, anything in grocery bags, small tool bags. All these will fit in the vault. Just not very many

Sorry guys for this rant, but I'm tired of the nonsense criticism on this feature, Some people here complaining about the lack of space, you all fail basic geometry, YOU CAN''T CREATE SPACE WHERE THERE IS NONE. Is a short front!!! I would love one you genius explain here how can they make it deeper without compromising the interior space......:rolleyes::rolleyes:
They put the mechanical equipment in the vault or sub vault. Bam… just got another 24” of frunk. DM me and I’ll tell you where to send my Mensa award. They could have prioritized the vault and they didn’t. That’s a valid frustration.

Isn't that like saying that ICE cars have plenty of space for a big frunk, but they are using that space for other things like and engine, starter battery, and air intake/filtrations and fuel injection system?

I never understood the people who were hoping for a huge frunk when it was obvious due to the shape of the hood that the frunk could not be huge.

This is just good design to make the vehicle aerodynamic and increase its actual range while keeping the price affordable. The Hummer EV chose to increase range by putting in a huge battery, aerodynamics and price be damned, and look how popular of a truck it is! But, yeah, it has a huge frunk, so what?
Could they have put that equipment somewhere else on the truck? Maybe in the fairly useless sub vault? Or in the vault area with a shorter vault? How much more frunk would that have allowed for? Now do you understand?

Oh my! Struggle, do you? Life is such a big struggle without a frunk big enough to hold grocery bags, laptops and small tool bags because a huge truck has no room for such cargo. That's why the F-150 is such a terrible seller, no frunk. Of course now there is an EV F-150 with a large frunk. This F-150 Lightning with a big frunk will finally become a best seller because customers will have a place to transport their laptops and groceries.

There is too much BS here for me to fathom.

Oh, I understand perfectly. You are talking nonsense.
