I’m a bit surprised about some of the forum members bitching about the small frunk space.

Remember that lot of reservation holders bitched about the concept truck not fitting into a standard 20’ long American garage. Tesla answered your wishes by shortening the truck to under 19’.

Cybertruck buyers also forget that Tesla uses a cab forward design. You can see in the concept vs. production photo below that the nose has gotten stubbier.

I could care less about the small frunk. It still has plenty of storage for my needs;

-Secure 6’ truck bed (rolling tonneau cover)
-Sub-trunk storage in bed
-Frunk storage

I still plan on following through with my reservation because I absolutely love the exclusive Space X inspired stainless steel exterior of the pickup. No other pickup truck or ANY vehicle on the market offers this type of durability.

Probably different groups of people complaining. I, for one, would prefer a truck have a larger frunk over fitting in a garage. Fitting in a garage is actually in last place of my "things I want in a truck" list.

You absolutely do NOT want that massive motor between you and your family.

In any motor vehicle collision there are three collisions: 1 - the vehicle with an external object. 2 - the human body(ies) colliding with the interior, and 3 - internal organs colliding with internal body supports.

ANYTHING that can reduce force prior to numbers 2 & 3 occurring is of lifesaving implication.

So, ANY amount of crumple zone in the front of the vehicle that can be implemented is fantastic. Guess what an engine can't do - crumple. An engine transfered 100% if the force into anything behind it. A lot of vehicle design is to differ force from the centerline of the vehicle. A date amount if the purpose behind that is to keep the motor from sitting in one's lap.

A hollow frunk space, if constructed/supported in a way to slow down a colliding object is unimaginably better than a huge heavy motor. This is the same reason that airbags are so effective.
So you don't think I should keep my Medieval Sword collection in the Frunk? ;)

A closer look at the complaints shows that it's normal for some people to complain voraciously that Cybertruck is too big while also complaining that the frunk is too small.

If they made the frunk bigger and shortened the bed, they would complain the bed was too small.

Looks like I could fit a chain saw and recovery kit there easy. I don't know what you're saying is minuscule. It's a frunk, basically bonus storage.

This is basically what I will end up using mine for: chainsaw, chainsaw oil, batteries for chainsaw, lopers, maybe a length of rope and a utility bag with a pair of gloves/safety glasses.

that is a Model S RWD frunk. the only reason it is not like that now is there are no more RWD model S being made. That space is occupied by a front motor. You could possibly get that kind of tunnel in a Cybertruck IF they even bother making a RWD version. as a group we early reservation holders pretty much voted against such a configuration. I am one of the very few who had a prw-order in on a RWD version.
I ordered a rear wheel drive because that's all I could afford.

Found this video of production Cybertrucks in Giga Texas

The frunk looks useless. I suppose that’s the price to pay for a longer bed in a total truck length similar to a half-ton.

Same. There's also something to be said about the fact the prototype that was shown at the 2019 reveal was over sized. A lot of people were complaining about the size not being aware of the fact it was bigger than an F-150, understandably so given it was only disclosed (accidentally?) in a tweet a few months later.

Supremely disappointed in the depth of the frunk. Was really hoping for something comparable to the Lightning. No way they needed all the under hood things so far forward when there is so much space under the dash.
Well, Tesla is notorious for wasting space ... /s

I personally don't see an issue with the frunk being a bit smaller when you have such a big bed in the back.

Plus I'd sacrifice a bit of frunk space to have the top suspension etc.
'May the Frunk be with you'
Gotta love 'a bit of frunk space'
Imagine finding 'a bit of space junk'
Some have....bloody lucky l guess (!)
