If I didn’t have a 2017 Nissan Titan I wouldn’t have the M3 that I have today. In 3 1/2 years 55k miles the Titan was in the shop inoperable about 13 times. Engine would shut off randomly. Check engine light on more than off. Rotors warped within 20k miles. Chrome plating peeling off wheels without any damage. Just delaminating. Warranty refused to cover it. Buddy of mine had his engine replaced within the first 10k miles.

sorry to hear it. I never looked too closely into a Titan, but from an arm’s length they seemed a compelling offering

I also think that people assume that from a design, assembly, and robustness perspective a full sized truck is just large and differently shaped sedan or SUV

historically, this wasn’t true to the extent trucks were basically farm implements

modern trucks now have to be everything to everyone, both competing in truck capabilities like payload and towing, while also competing in passenger car comforts and features

it’s a needle threading effort, and not an easy category

I never understood how anyone in their right mind would buy a nissan truck when ford and chevy had offerings head and shoulders above.

Who buys a last place truck in every metric. Were they that much cheaper?

And the real world mpg was horrendous based on real life reviews. At one point the Titan was on my short list until I checked the mpg.
