Picked it up yesterday and drove 150 miles home. It's been great, however I went to charge with my gen3 wall charger and the breaker kept tripping. Tried my neighbor's and his tripped too. Tried his RV 50amp outlet and again the mobile charger tripped.
All AC outlets work and there isn't an error code on the screen other than saying a breaker on the charger tripped.
Any ideas? DC charging works perfect, but no AC charging. Already tried a soft reset and have a service apt into Tesla.

Update 5/28/24
I took it to the service center on 5/24. They tried all their AC chargers. None worked. The DC charger worked fine. Said they needed another day to figure it out. That got pushed back twice and they told me they are still trying to figure out what the problem is. After 4 days in the SC, they now have an estimated completion date of 5/31. I'm not sure where they are at with the repair but no updates on what the problem is.

Did you limit the charging amperage to less than the breaker amperage? In my MS, the charging menu in the car, the amperage maximum can be limited.

I'd set the charging amperage in the vehicle to something like 16 amps and use the Tesla mobile charger (which caps at 32 amps and should not trip your breakers). See what happens.

The breaker in the electrical panel tripped? or the internal one on the mobile charger?

easiest troubleshooting step would be to plug into a different AC charger. If you don't have another you'd have to locate somewhere with a level 2 charger and use it just to test.

Yeah, limited the chargrer in the App all the way down and up. No matter what adjustments I make it trips.

I tried my neighbors Level 2 Rivian Charger. His trips. He also has an RV 50amp on his garage. I tried that with the mobile charger and it tripped. I also tried a 110v outlet with mobile charger and it tripped the GFCI breaker.
With the Gen3 Tesla Wall Charger it happens at the wall unit, not at the panel. It's very strange.

Definitely need to make an appointment with the service center to check things out.

I would bring it up with service then. If every charger is tripping, there has to be an issue with the AC charging circuit in the truck. my next suggestion would be to say you should try the AC outlets in the truck since it runs through the same circuit, but you mentioned you already did.

DC charging works, so it has to be in the AC charge circuit.

I wish it weren't so, but that's the next step. 150mile 1 way commute.

It appears that it's a leakage issue, since it appears that the GFCI is what is actually tripping. It's important to know the difference. Standard breakers trip because they are pulling too much current. GFCIs trip because there is a very small leakage of electricity to ground.

Are you trying this in moist or wet conditions?
Have you tried Supercharging?

No. It's been dry. No moisture. Supercharging works perfectly. This is why it's so bizarre. Only GFCI tripped on the 110v attempts...and it tripped at the outlet. The other 3 Level 2 charging attempts tripped at the charging unit, not at the panel.

Time to create a service request.

Another update. Service Completion date was pushed from May 31st until June 7th. They had to order a new PCS and Junction box and will install once parts arrive. If they finish by June 7th total service time will be 16 days.

Well my repair has been pushed back yet another week to June 14th. Parts were ordered and the original repair began, but unfortunately the technician damaged something else in the process. So more parts are ordered and I'm back to the waiting game. This is beyond frustrating. I will be out a truck for almost a month.
