I think you are thinking of the CCS adapter. Must show in the info screen. CCS enabled. That has nothing to do with CHademo. Each model takes about a six months to a year to get enabled. This will be Tesla number 5 for me.
No, I clearly linked to the CHAdeMO adapter manual.

The CHAdeMO adapter is not said to be compatible for Model 3 or Y. https://www.tesla.com/sites/default/files/chademo-adapter-manual-in-english.pdf

That it works is because of old compatibility modes at all; it isn't supported.
Highlight added.

Let me rephrase. Get an EV an then maybe you can experience it. This year will be a half a million miles for me.
You didn't have to spam the thread and direct message me that you were putting me on ignore. You didn't have to insult me.

I have no idea where that's coming from. I totally agree that adapters should be available: These are supposed to be trucks pushing the edge of where an EV can be used.

But it's just not surprising that adapters made for previous generations don't work with this one.

It's amazing how many posts can be created on something that just isn't currently enabled.

The CCS adapter and CCS charging will become available in the future.
CHAdeMO, well, has always sucked and the only reason why anyone is bringing it up right now is because the CCS isn't working. Let it die.

One of the "hopeful" features of the new CCS adapter will be 800V 350kW charging at the EA CCS station. I'd much rather wait for the new one.

Indeed. But I (and likely others) really wish they would have enabled backwards compatibility -OR- had the adapters at launch -OR- made a very obvious statement about them (it could have been included in the "your truck doesn't have parking sensors" notices). To not do -any- of these is just flat rude.

You're not wrong, but I hope Tesla doesn't think this way. People rely on these, and until Tesla can blanket the US in superchargers, there's still a need. I'm not that special, and I semi-regularly drive 2 different routes where I have to take long detours due to lack of superchargers + lack of CHAdeMO + lack of CCS.

If you'd like to turn your Cybertruck back in until they have the CCS adapters ready, I'm sure that you'd make someone happy, I know I'd take it.

Checked with Tesla. No ETA for supporting CCS or CHARdeMO for CT. I'm just stuck at level2 charging at work with 7h+ for 30%, which will take ~1h with level3...

Well, charge it when you do shifts, and find at least a level 1 for when you sleep, instead of wasting time at a Supercharger.

Any recent update on chadmeo compatibility? I've been told the existing ccs adapter, when plugged into an eveject adapter will charge a cybertruck. I'm gonna try both of these later this week with a cybertruck, but was curious if anyone had recently tried it. I've been told that the latest cybertruck software update enabled and stabilized ccs charging... just no adapters...

I tested on a current software awd and still no chadmeo. I think the dinosaur has died!

Just tested this tonight, worked just fine! Same CCS adapter I have used on the Model X over the years.

Tested CHAdeMO, it just errors out with a red charge light

Disclaimer! I have no idea if this in some way invalidates some warranty

Cybertruck software: 2024.14.3
Used the following adapters:

I have a SETEC CCS adapter I want to try.

@AlmostHuman it’s been a while, is the Tesla CCS Adapter plus a EVJect still working for a CCS charge on the Cybertruck AWD? I’m trying to plan a trip where the only options are a CCS charger, CHaDeMo, and J1772… and I want to minimize charge time of course.

Have only used it a couple more times after that but still works!

Since there is not currently a Cybertruck compatible CCS adapter availabler from Tesla I found this one on Amazon for $89.90 and ordered it to see if it would work.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DCGM57PT

Of course in is made in China. I really did not expect too much for the price but so far so good. I hooked it up the a local Chargepoint. It fit ok, a little snug on one side but it slid right in and the snout was long enough. It started charging at 44kW. The truck screen said the charge rate was limited by the charger output. The adapter temperature was only very slightly warm to the touch. Not super fast but if it keeps me from getting stranded until Tesla makes a Cybertruck compatible adapter available, It will do for now.
