So, I took delivery of my Cyber on February 28th at the Irvine center in OC/CA. and let me tell you, Tesla delivery suck, they suck so bad, that I cannot recommend Tesla to anyone, (full disclosure, I have had 3 Teslas, and my security position is full on Tesla, I'm a massive fan of the company) but he company suck.

You cannot buy an $80K car and get not even a bottle of water or a cup of coffee when you take delivery, call me old school, but having some people "take care of you" is freaking peak human value and high quality of life, this is not, sucks ass.

The car is full of issues, alignments, inside trims off, a bolt came out while I'm driving, cracks and sounds from the dashboard, weird ultra high wind noises on speeds close to 80mph (annoying, can't hear anything) a bizarre motor whinning (other than the typical whine, which I love)... so on so forth, I, insisted to see someone before I took delivery and all that guys said: oh, take it home and open a service center issue, which I was going to punch him in the face for being so nonchalant and un-engaged....
I came home, I opened a ticket, now they coming on Tuesday to look and "fix things", so like I said, no honeymoon for the cybertruck....

My Tesla 3 2018 at the time was better than this, I'm sorry in this day and age, at that price, a little effort goes a long way, if Tesla doens't fix this car, I'm taking them to court, no joke, I have no elasticity on this one!!!!

this is the most Un-American, American Made product I got.

I dunno if a lot of people had had or are having similar issues.

FYI my Vin is in the 66K and more.

2 pics are just examples of that outrageous sloppiness.

Tesla is very inconsistent with delivery and service. Personally I never had a problem. My truck has been great other than having to take it in twice for recalls.

I bought 4 Teslas and overall no major issues and delivery day was very easy. Seems to be dependent on the service center or delivery center.

I took one of my cars to the new North Hollywood location and it was great.

Now that you have vented- Calm down.

Ignoring your trivial issue with free water and coffee, if they don’t fix the issues you have mentioned then you have a legitimate case.
Had mine for a year now and no issues like yours.

You probably should have not taken delivery if there were issues already.

Glad you can vent here. Not everyone’s experience is the same and some have had bad ones.
Personally, I have had the best experiences with my Teslas, the services centers and my Cybertruck. Best vehicles I have ever owned and the Cybertruck is hands down the coolest best vehicle I have ever owned. The Tigard, Oregon service and sales/delivery center has been terrific and the buying/service processes have been so easy I can’t believe I dealt with Dealerships as long as I did. I can’t recommend Tesla strong enough.
a couple weeks ago I was in the cascades of Oregon and broke my windshield wiper (it was my fault). Called the Bend Service center and they got me in within 30 minutes and fixed my wiper which was basically an essentially safety need and emergent need. They fixed it in 30 minutes AND didn’t charge me on my Truck.

All that to say, I am sorry your experience was really bad. Not fun, and venting here is healthy. But many have also had tremendous experiences, so know there are a lot of those too

The headliner for sure should not have been delivered to you that way. It “pops” in place with press and fit connectors. If they are not lined up or if they get “squished” or incorrectly compressed, they will not stand the test of time and your headliner will rattle like a baby’s toy over bumps. I would carefully attempt to press the headliner back into place making sure to not crush any internal pressconnections.

The black clip in your hand is used for holding dash/trim pieces in place and might’ve just been an extra carelessly dropped during manufacturing. If you are missing one it will likely be from somewhere under the front dash. They are also used for keeping the wheel-well trim In place around your tires. If extra put that in your glove box as a spare. If you ever remove the front and rear air dams for doing any off-roading it could come in handy.

The issues you present are totally curable. But you are very valid in being bothered by what should not be. But they should make it right!

I had a great experience with my AWD at the Clermont, Florida SC. Have taken vehicle for service at Orlando-Eatonville SC, and I was treated very well. I’m sorry you had a bad experience but not all Tesla SCs that way. And my truck works great. First Tesla and bedt car that I ever had.

Sucks about your experience. We have two teslas, X and truck and couldn’t have been happier. Sounds like quality assurance is hit or miss and unfortunately you may low quality check truck. Can’t deny though it’s fun to drive.

I had a terrible experience too and there is no excuse for them to put their s. Together at this point. Yes the car is nice and everything but it is not free for sure so we have every right to have high expectations.

Agreed, I wish all of Tesla is high and tight, but that fantasyland. Every single car manufacturer has the same mix of complaints and praise singing on forums like this. Thinking otherwise is silly. But you are right, I have such high expect for Tesla (they have met mine), so when they don’t exceed others expectations I share a tiny bit of frustration

My Model Y delivery in 2023 was a really good experience. My Cybertruck delivery in 2024 was a really not good experience. Both at same Service Center.

With the Cybertruck, I just decided to let the process work through the issues. I'm happy with the truck despite the issues I've had, but everyday is a new day.

Tesla experience is the worst. They have the worst customer service. Try getting a hold of a person to speak with. The Cybertruck is my last Tesla. Once they are passed on the kids as their learner vehicles, we will buy a Rivian or Lucid. Service may be just as bad, but I'm done with Tesla. My experience of getting a light bar installed has been a nightmare. They can't even follow their own service manual which said Mount and Solder Only. Took 4 different Tesla service center visits before one finally said they were wrong and will solder it for me.

can you please let me know if they worked through the issues you had? Makes me nervous that they won’t!

ordered a 66K VIN CT today. Have owned five Teslas over the last twelve years and have never had a single issue. On the other hand, the Jeep 4xe and Wagoneer were disasters. LR4 Defender electricals are still horrible. Reading the comments on this forum, fingers crossed on the CT!
