my model 3 vented one window the other night. Just decided to open the window 3 inches overnight for some reason. its happened one other time a year ago. bizarre glitch. I really wish Tesla would let us consumers see the vehicle logs, I know the car knows when the window was opened.
Your phone tells you. We were in K'uaui when in BC the windows vented.... butt dialed when hiking.

I’ll suggest you went into Light Show mode; frunk windows and tonneau go into a dance. Sounds like…

Make sure to use Car wash mode, even when rinsing. That should help with part of that.

I think this is all software driven rather than mechanical. I'm sure there are a log of bugs that will be fixed thought software updates. These are the responsibilities of early adopters such as us. We are making the lives of the future CT buyers a better one.

Just for a bit of balance, I’ve had three Teslas since 2013, and never had this type problem. I do appreciate when the app reminds me that I left a window down or door open, etc. I would hope this might be an easy fix via a reset and reinstall of the Operating System by a Service Center. Good luck!

Aw, maaaaan. New irrational fear unlocked. I live in rain country. The last thing I do before leaving my car is make sure the windows are up. Every time.

It'd bum me out to come out to the truck one morning and find it with half an inch of water sloshing around ...
My 2018 honda Ridgeline opens all windows and sunroof randomly. was a shocker to find a half inch of snow in it and thats in Houston Texas.

Same here. The thing is, when everything works right, there's little incentive to get on a forum and let everyone know. It's the same imbalance that occurs in the main stream media which can give people a distorted view of reality.

App didn't let me know, so I came out in the morning to a single open window. I had a model x before, no such issues. Not sure if this is app driven or car software driven, but wasn't anything my phone told it to do. Not a common occurrence though, but very bizarre.

Well, I washed it yesterday and took extreme care NOT to hit the switch panel for the tailgate and tonneau cover and no phantom actions...?

Last week, while charging, the hood opened up. I thought I might have done it, but only because it was the simplest explanation.
BAHHH!
Today, while hosing off the truck from the tree crap, I noticed the windows were in vent mode, they open about 2-3 inches. I lock the truck with my phone, the windows closed and I continue hosing it off. Then, the tonneau cover opens...then the tailgate opens, then the frunk opens. WTF! Its possesed? Am I hitting the buttons while the phone is in my pocket? Take the phone out and the screen is blank, it is still locked.
To make a long story shorter, I go to tesla, just to see if they have had any issues like this, and they suggest a soft reset. I did that when I got home and will see what happens tomorrow. They did mention the rear switch panel issues but said they just stop working...and that wouldn't open the frunk.

To say I am bummed is an understatement. Just hope this is something simple that fixes itself. I do not want to be without my truck.
Not at all saying that the CT does not have its share of problems but what you describe does sound more like faults with the app or the phone touch screen. Maybe try another phone just to rule this out?

Also, various phone covers and protectors can generate false screen presses so take off anything like that.

I kind of thought a kid or spouse might have been messing with you...if not it might be worth changing up your Tesla account PW as maybe someone has your credentials????
