Oh man the cold feet feeling while I await a VIN is sinking in….placed order 10/4, no VIN yet.

How much could I save on a Cybertruck if I hold off 12 months I wonder…10k? 20k? what do you think? Some people paid 134k or something like that for model S plaid and is now 50k less.

I think the fear of having to wait literal years has melted away for me…what do you guys think?

I had a service appointment for my model 3 today, and was looking forward to sitting in a Cybertruck to help push these nasty feels away but they didn’t have at the SC I was at!

Instead I oogled at someone FS sitting in the parking lot while I waited for my uber for 20 minutes, and it helped. A little bit.

Dude, I was there in the "days between" hit the button, picked up the truck and I have no regrets. Future proof functional art.

In regards to the randomness of deliveries, I think Tesla has ramped production to the point where making people wait in line would cost them more to deliver the trucks due to enonomies of scale. Philosophy is to open up orders to everyone and deliver in bulk to where the immediate demand is and not the 5yr old demand. This strategy may be the silver bullet for next quarters delivery numbers.

Believe all of us had a previous reservation but didn’t do the FS SERIES. The invite comes from an email asking for us to order now.

I contacted the app again to ask for some better communication. I was told my truck is still sitting in Texas with no delivery timeline. So now I went from 10/19, to 10/25, to absolutely unknown. Seems unacceptable to me. I can understand the delays, I just wish they were more transparent about it when I chatted with them live I wouldn’t have sold my other two cars I would have waited and honestly I wouldn’t care at all about the timeline.

Where did you hear that you may not get the truck until November? I’m only partially annoyed right now because I sold my 2nd car and fun car in advance because I was told I should have the CT for sure by the 19th from the service center and also app directly. So I’m down to 1 car and the wife is piiisssthed I use it as much as I do because I bought her a new car 2 weeks ago as well.

Being a one car family ain’t fun even with myself being a work from home person and her being a stay at home mom.

The app displayed Oct-Nov delivery. I'm not waiting on delivery as soon as I here that it's in Roger's, I'm picking it up myself.

I'm in Washington too (northern border of Snohomish County). I converted to an order on 10/6; got VIN on 10/9; & am being told it will reach Lynnwood SC around 10/22. I'm not sure how fast they will prep the truck. Allowing a few days to get truck prepped, it S.B. 2-1/2 weeks.

UPDATE: Today I got chance to setup Delivery for either 10/29 or 10/30. Seems the car carrier won't reach the Lynnwood, WA SC until the weekend before that. So, 20 days in my case from VIN to delivery date.

Did they let you know by chance when the truck left Austin to wherever your trailer will pick it up to deliver to your show room?

I’m curious since my truck has apparently not left Austin for some unknown reason how long it’s gonna take from it to be on its train and subsequently then from the train stop to my showroom.

No. I assumed that from Austin to Lynnwood would be only by semi car trailer (not rail). And since the originally thought 10/22; but notified me today that it's now arriving next weekend, it's to be loaded onto a car carrier tomorrow morning. That's a lot of assumptions on my part. It's 2,150 miles from Austin, TX to Lynnwood, WA. Drive time is about 33 hours; which is just over four 8-hr days.

I put my non-foundation order in on Saturday and have delivery scheduled for next Monday, the 21st.

Yeah I put mine in for a non FS CB on the 10/18, got a VIN on 10/20, waiting for a delivery date though.
