Not Political just informative, Who thinks the hate will subside or get worse with the recent or seemingly a break-up between Musk and POTUS?

I'm curious to see if CT owners vandalism woes will go down now that it's no longer public enemy #1 for the left, historically the right doesn't destroy others property so I can handle the verbal / american sign language (from either side). Not looking for any bias comments, just trying to see what everyone generally thinks the next month will be like as I am travelling quite a bit with my family and don't want to be put in any situations.

It’ pretty surprising to me how many of my conservative friends I can confidently predict would choose Elon over Trump in almost any circumstance.
I also think too many folks on the left share a surprising amount of values with Tesla buyers in general and Elon specifically for the “swasticar” shenanigans to continue.
In the end, the whole concept of left and right, conservative and liberal is all a fabrication to encourage media sales and political agendas. it’s not how America is truly sociopolitically divided/structured at all. Don’t believe me? Think about the last large thanksgiving family gathering you went to and how much you actually had in common with everyone there despite your so called “differences”.
American values will eventually win over all this bullshit and all these opportunists on both sides will end up the losers.
Unfortunately, that might take some time because those people who perpetrate the hatred tend to be the least intellectually capable of either group.
So I think some really dumb factions on both sides will probably still be annoying and potentially even dangerous for a short while and therefore need to be avoided but the current state of affairs between trump and Elon is actually a good prognostic sign for America. It means that in the end, most people will realize that a lot more ties us together than sets us apart and that may mean we go back to pulling together as a nation which is historically how we have always triumphed before.
It’s not Hannity and Anderson Cooper’s America. It’s ours.
My advice, lay low for now. This situation is bound to get better, just be patient.

That essentially my thinking, just a few weeks ago the low IQ individuals on either side were asking me to join parades or telling me not to bring my CT to their party/event. Now I'm getting no big deals from the low IQ left, and the Trump hardcores are not asking me to join their parades. I'm actually okay with less attention from either side. I never bought it back in August for a political statement despite being a Constitutional conservative myself. I just love all aspects of the truck and would even buy it if it ran on fuel.

You know, part of me was wondering if this "argument" between them wasn't done intentionally and publicly - for some reason. It seems very scripted and the timing coincidental. You have the richest man in the world and the most powerful man in the world, you don't get to be either of those by being a complete idiot - like them or not.

Musk needs to go back to his companies. He was a temporary government employee which means he can only work for 130 days. That was up a little over a week ago.

Trump needs to look like he isn’t bending to the needs of a billionaire.

They have a huge fight on X and they get what they want and the Tesla hate will go away.

Also, I’m pretty sure Musk wants his government contracts cancelled so he can negotiate new ones with Starship. NASA is using Dragon which Musk wants to put on the back burner.

People make things up to try to justify things. 0 chance they planned to tank the stock, relationship, etc. Just two trolls/immature people fighting that happen to have a ton of power.

2 alpha males with strong ego's and an inability to admit fault. This was bound to happen eventually. Both said things that went too far as they've both been known to do in social media. Seems completely legit.

I expect this will have a neutral effect on the hate toward Tesla's, more left might like them but less right. Balances out. Worry less about what others think, after all we get to enjoy these trucks every day.
