The front FSD / Dashcam camera in the windshield of my CT has about 10% of the entire image obstructed along the bottom.

Here are screenshots from the live view in the Tesla app, along with a view from the in-truck screen.

I recognize the obstruction is likely from the edge of the camera housing itself, but it sure seems to obstruct a lot of the image. I don’t get any errors when using FSD, self-park, etc, but it seems odd to me.

Is this how all the CT’s are, or am I special?

You're special.

But my truck has this as well. That's the wide-view camera, I suppose the lower area is not needed?

I don’t have this at all. The SC should be able to fix it easily.
Crazy. Thanks for responding. Wonder what the distribution of CT's from the factory that have/don't have this obstruction would look like.

I'm mostly just concerned about potentially important future dashcam footage that might have something important in that area that isn't preserved b/c of the obstruction.

Awww shucks....thanks :ROFLMAO:

Interesting. Is yours as badly-obstructed as mine? Do you mind posting a shot from your camera?

I’m less worried about the obstruction than I am about pulling that cover to clean the haze off the glass
