I love mine! Do I use it a lot? Certainly not. It looks great though and really fits the look and feel, integration in vehicle is great although I do wish you could tap the light bar on the main image to turn it on and off. I’ve noticed no range difference and no wind noise. IMHO OEM is the way to go and is worth the price.
Where did you get it? How much? How long to install?

I purchased it sealed, new in box on eBay, then purchased the parts and Tesla installed it. This was before they announced it was available for purchase. I did save about $600 doing it that way though.

Mine seems to be pointed up more then it’s useful, I can see the trees tops more then the road I front of me. Down hill seems to light up the next hill decently. Overall high beams light the area better. I’ll flip mine on when going down my dead end dirt road only.

five minute install after Tesla did their thing and fully integrated through the user interface, and very low profile, I absolutely love this thing and have zero reason to buy this, but I just wanted it!

Happy 4th everyone 🇺🇸!

Yeah, it does complete “the look”, for me.
My SC installed, OEM light bar is full of water! How long I have no idea as it is not something I normally inspect. I have added it to the list of work needed when she goes on for the ever elusive PCS replacement.

perhaps they blocked the lower drain/vent hole?

Does this new version with the bracket still require it to be glued or does the bracket now hold it completely on?
its actually 3M VHB tape. and you dont need the brackets if you dont want - those required drilling holes into the roof. A proper install with tape is all you need most likely. Just use the right tape and install proper as V1 was done - all good.

That hole is at the rear of the lightbar, so it’s close to the top edge of the windshield and ‘above’ the front edge when installed.

If anything, it seems like it would allow water *in*, haha!!

But maybe it’s a vent to allow water vapor out?

The brackets are the suspenders of the belt & suspenders approach.

The main thing holding the lightbar down is the 3M 1500 VHB tape (they stopped using the Betaseal glue).

The brackets keep the lightbar from flying off if the tape were to fail.

I had brackets installed last week but they didn't replace the light bar, which was glued on originally and has held on just fine. I guess the glue + brackets is better than just the glue but maybe not as good as the brackets + VHB.

I have read several posts saying the oem bar is not very bright, way less lumens than aftermarket.
lots of aftermarket lights are brighter, but nothing has the look or integration as the oem one. if you are truly off roading hard core - look elsewhere. if you want a cool light bar for the occasional evening off road exploring - oem is perfect
