I just can’t justify a camping accesory that costs as much as the truck. I think I’d rather buy a trailer for that money. Maybe a pebble RV when they too actually develop a realistic sense of the market. I get that everybody is proud of the innovations they made and that they took a lot of R&D but that doesn’t mean they have Carte Blanche to fuck over pretty much every one in the EV market. The supply demand curve will either humble them or they will go out of business unfortunately.
Legit grateful to Eddie and Phoenix campers for all the effort. The idea is great and execution looks great but unfortunately I think, like many others, you way overshot the mark in terms of what you’ve allowed yourself to charge for them. Probably by about 100%. That’s business unfortunately.
Maybe I’m wrong and they are flying off your shelves and if so I apologize and stand corrected but I don’t think I’ve seen a single other one but Eddie’s.
Sadly I expect this product to go the way of the dodo.
Would I love one? Yes. Am I going to buy one? fj$k no.

Couldn't agree with @hemiarch more. For some reason I thought this thing was $30,000. Even then I was hoping to catch one on the used market in a few years for substantially less.

For $80,000 I feel like better options are out there that can be had. Rvs, single wides, heck even doublewide trailers can be had for that price.

To be fair I have no idea what the build cost is so I can't really say if it's a fair price just not one I would consider.

I just found this thread. I used to have a Four Wheel Camper on a Tundra, which I sold after getting the Cybertruck. Many of the features, like the window plastic/velcro design are similar. Just for the heck of it, I went on Four Wheel Camper's website and looked at the pricing of a new Hawk model (for a 6' bed). Starting, bare bones, price is $29,495. Ultimate package is $61,660. And anything in between as you can pick and choose your options. And I always considered Four Wheel Campers to be pricey. So yeah, $80,000 is up there. I wonder how this camper compares when off-roading, as that was one of the big advantages of Four Wheel Campers:: they are built for that and can take the jolts and flexing, etc.
