Saw that... I bet the actual roof could hold a lot of weight, but the cross bars may not be that strong. Are cross bars normally stronger than that? Couldn't someone make aftermarket bars that hold more?

That’s probably the most disappointing item to me by a very long shot.

Indeed it does say 200 lbs for the Tesla cross bars. Weird considering 'exoskeleton' !

Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment (I know, I know)
It's basically a generic grid of lashing points. You can put hooks or straps, etc anywhere on the grid to secure goodies.

The divider MOLLE panel for the CT bed solves a nice use case: How to secure propane tanks for the BBQ when taking them for refill.

Now you can just place that 14" from the tailgate, and strap them to the MOLLE panel, upright.

Have tried that in the past... doesn't work all the great! (single point of tie down vs two on either side)
