Ordered 10/22/24 VIN 10/29/24; no delivery date

I just received the Vin# to my CT at 6:10pm today. Let’s see how long before I can take delivery of it. I believe once they send the Vin# the vehicle has been already manufactured and ready to ship. If that’s the case, transit time from TX to NJ is approximately 3 days. If they ship it within the next 7 days, it should get to jersey in approximately 10 days from today. My wild guess is that I can probably pick it up somewhere around 11/10. Hopefully, my calculations are okay and it doesn’t get delisted much longer than that. The Vin# is 047…

Congratulations! Thats exciting! Thats what the Tesla rep told me too, once you get the VIN#, the vehicle has been assembled and ready for delivery.

I originally ordered 10/22. I reached out to the delivery specialist about the $1000 loyalty credit and he said he couldn’t add it to my order since the offer started on 10/25. He told me I should cancel my order and reorder. He said he would would move over the $250 to my new order and keep my place in line.
My order says I ordered 10/30 now, and I got my VIN tonight.
I live in Utah.

Personally I don't consider the foundation series as a mark up compared to what dealerships do/did. But those markups are hurting people now. Those days of $5000 or $10000 or more market adjustments for a RAV 4, or Bronco, etc. Crazy.

I purchased 3 vehicles from 2020-2024. No mark ups. Mark up, no buy. It's crazy to me that paying MSRP is normal now.

I ordered on 10/19/24, got vin assigned on 10/29/24, and was able to schedule the delivery date on the 10/31/24.

I'm scheduled for the earliest possible delivery window which is today 11/4/24.

From what I've been told by some of my friends who work at Tesla, it's been fairly typical for the VIN to take the longest in the process. So keep your hopes up and get excited!!

No delivery date yet though Tesla says "Mid to late November". Apparently the truck is "In Austin awaiting transport" and my delivery center will be Miramar.

I am in San Diego.
