Q: why are ppl always asking for the Order date?? AFAIK, the order date doesn't correlate to the delivery date order. I think TESLA has an alternative methodology on who gets what and when. Just from my experience with TSLA.

Because presently, tracking order to vin assignment, and order to delivery, is the only metric we have to go on. Tesla themselves won't provide any estimates. They shut down the vin activation tracker. So it's the one piece of data we can actually track on our own.

It seems some employees are willing or able to get a bit more info than others. If you have ever received a text from Tesla, try texting that number and asking if they know when it will arrive at the delivery center. I have pinged them a few times since I got my VIN on the 18th and they do have the ability to see a bit more info.

That’s a good idea. I just took delivery of an X last month, so will use that text thread. I am interested in how VINs are assigned. Space X must use something similar, becuase I got one of the very first Starlink terminals produced and I know I was no where near the early orders. I just got a very informal email from one of the engineers asking if I wanted to take delivery and try it out.

Texting them worked, they got right back to me. It just finished production and is awaiting transport. Estimate is 14-24 days for delivery

Sounds about like the timeline I am working with. Got VIN on the 18th. As of yesterday, it was in transit to Tigard but was still in TX on Friday. Supposed to arrive late this week with delivery next week.

Interesting,... Called TESLA and was told my CT Left Giga Texas on 2/24. Schedule to arrive in Salem on 3/4~3/12 ( I know.. huge window).

Sounds like mine was delayed and hasn't actually left the factory. Initially, I was told it should arrive at my delivery center by the end of this week. Now, I am being told end of next week or the week after. "It's in the process of leaving the factory."

I can't remember all the details... here is what I recall...
-Order the Truck the following morning of CT unveil.
- I was in the first batch of invite when Tesla first started the FS order, and immediately accepted the invite.
-I fcuked around trying to get the CT before 12/31/2023 and moved my delivery location to CA, and Texas. On the eve of 12/31 realizing that there is NFW I'll be getting my Section 179 deduction for CT 2023, I changed my delivery location back to Oregon
-This morning I was asked to pay for my CT and I did so after calling Salem Delivery Center confirmed that my CT is on the Interstate between Tecsux to Salem.

Will pick up when the CT arrives. getting a lil excited.. but watever.. back to regular scheduled program. Life goes on..

Tri??!! AFAIK, They aren't producing Tri motor for the general publc (unless your are a Tesla Employee / Friends or Family).

I have the TriMotor on order and slated for "Late 2023"

I am not concerned... This Dual Motor will hold me off for a good 6~8 months. :-D

Just got an update:
All CT to the PNW travels from Giga Texas to Mira Loma CA.
From Mira Loma CA it gets packed onto a 3 trucks + cars carrier and heads out north in the I-5

My CT left Mira Loma CA yesterday and is enroute to Salem as we speak. Official ETA at Salem is Tuesday 3/5/2024 @Jason Carlisle please keep an eye out for me next 4 days

...Lastly.. there is a ton of CT that is "stuck" in Texas awaiting for shipment. If your CT has left Giga Texas, consider yourself lucky... I was told.

I am getting a bit optimistic that I might be zipping around the Willamette Valley a week from today...

We'll see..
