I have the same tonneau sail appliqué issue as the OP. The right side is flush and looks good... the left one is cockeyed. I opened a ticket and am trying to get them to send mobile service to fix it because I am a looonnnnggg way from the Tesla SC. They are trying to determine whether they want to do it or not. I looked at the CT service manual and it looks relatively easy to do... so I am hoping they will do it.

It's been around a dozen years that Tesla has been assembling vehicles and they STILL can't align panels correctly. And Tesla leadership wonders why the company has a reputation for sloppy fit and finish.

I think it can be done via mobile service. One side of the long axis has clips and the other has foam tape I believe. It could be just a matter of lifting and repositioning the taped side. Let me know if this turns out to be accurate.

Yep... got confirmation yesterday, they will send mobile service and give it a shot.

Tesla could help themselves and their customers if they would only publish instructions on how to adjust these ourselves. I know for the money they should make it right and I agree, but I prefer to work on my own cars. Service centers are under pressure to get job X done in Y hours per their spreadsheet and you never know how competent a mechanic you will get. Much rather do it myself and take however long it takes to be satisfied. I suspect many other CT owners would choose the same if we had some instruction to be sure we don't damage something expensive.

I picked mine up yesterday and have this issue. New to Tesla but when I requested service it said late July. Is that something I should just drive up there for? Planning on getting the wrap next week. This wont help.

On the cantrail (just got my dual awd a couple days ago) there is a bolt and a nut in the front, then rubber stripping under with T20 along the whole route to the back. My drivers is spot on, but my passenger is just up and out 1-2mm in the back. I had to look it up at https://service.tesla.com/docs/Cybe...UID-7B9154B0-0197-413A-899A-0FF3FA01B788.html to get the gist.

Is it worth driving in only for that .. not really but I'm looking around for anything else I may see to make it more worth a service visit. I only had a couple clips that missed there landing spot and tail gate has a similar pop out maybe < 1/4" so seems normal. I did spot this video which covers removing the tailgate so it may shed some light on the jams to see if there is further adjustment inward to line that up.

The funk has rubber pegs. You unlock then pull up or push down the rubber piece then lock it so that bits dead easy.

Doors can be jam adjustments to get them flush.

Agreed, I had to replace a door handle on my Model S, took some time had to remove window and all, but saw how to adjust the handle when it is retracted. It looked so much better than all the other doors(and I never considered them bad) that I had to redo the alignment on every door handle. But they look amazing retracted now.

My Beast is doing great and I enjoy it thoroughly. I am trying to get a sense of what is “normal” panel fitment from other CT owners. I have an appointment for alignment and I want a better sense of what I should expect when they are done.

here are some photos of the areas of concern. I’ll post the “after” photos for comparison when the service is done.

How does this shoddy fit and finish pass a QC inspection? That panel fitment is horrendous.

I wish the Cybertruck was a Toyota product. Seriously.

This truck would have never left a Toyota assembly plant. Only Tesla gets away with these poor assembly tolerances.

My Cantrail passenger side a bit up and out. Bunch of T20 Torx to loosen, and you have to pull the rubber weather stripping. I didn't have much effect on it.

On the frunk it's rubber stoppers that are easy to adjust. Twist the rubber stopper left pull it out for height, in for depth, twist right to lock it.

The service center could not improve my door alignment, and sent me to the collision center. They improved it as best they can and honestly I am satisfied despite things not being perfect. I’m a beta tester and loving it!
