Phone connected for calls but messages don't come through UI

My android is connected to the CT and can make and receive calls, but no text messages have ever come through the UI. All setting both on truck and phone (and tesla app) are setup correctly and should be good for messaging but still nothing comes through. I've unpaired the phone and repaired it, nothing. Messages work fine on my Model S. Any suggestions?

lol, i used to be all apple until about 6 years ago. i really can't stand apple anymore but my androids have always worked flawlessly on my Model S. It's strange the phone is connected to the truck and can make calls, but not messages.

Maybe someone will chime in and help you. Maybe try to delete it and reconnect your phone.
If it was up to me I would still own a blackberry. I could text like a mofo and spells at better on that thing ?

Dont you go into the blue tooth settings for the specific device on the phone and make sure to turn on the option to allow messages?

It is but i don’t get messages.

This might be a dumb question, but have you checked if there's a software update available for your cybertruck? Sometimes these little bugs get fixed in updates. Just a thought!

OP. Same problem here with Samsung S23. The only fix that I know of, but didn't try yet is to delete samsung email app.

Wow! Just saw this today, I had already tried to delete Samsung messages app which didn't work but I deleted the Samsung email app just now and text messages are now coming through the ui.

And I was going to drive 2 hours tomorrow to a service center over this issue.

I got curious and looked up some stuff and came across this:

I had something similar going on and found that some Bluetooth profiles weren’t syncing properly until I reset the connections and paired again. What’s weird is my messages still didn't show until I disabled all message-related permissions and re-enabled them. If you’re using something like Active Calls cloud-based call center software, double-check that it’s not grabbing notification access or interfering with the default messaging app permissions. That tripped me up once.
