During power outages I plug my portable generator into my breaker box where I have a mechanical interlock to prevent back feeding into the utility grid. Could I just substitute the 240 outlet on the cybertruck instead of the generator? The interlocked breaker in the breaker box that the generator feeds is 40 amp. I could easily replace the 40 amp breaker with a 30A. if thats problem.

Truck has NEMA 14-50 outlet. Rated for 50 amps. Truck puts out 40 Amps.

PowerShare equipment would be safer and more convenient with 48 Amp output.

Someone did it Before, yes, you can. The 240v output is 30A, might not power everyting in your household if you live down deep south.

I’m also interested in this…

I have a 50 amp plug wired up to panel with interlock. I won’t hurt anything powering that with my truck right (on the truck side)? Just won’t be able to power as many things.

Right, the 14-50 outlet in the bed will feed 40 Amps (higher surge for load starting).

Is there a breaker/fuse on the truck if I try to pull over 40 amps? I’m sure there is, right?

You should be fine. You can't do the Cybertruck and the generator at the same time, sparks fly.
