As the title says, I’m curious if this is real or not. It would make sense with the canceling of the X. They need a new full size SUV. With the Cybertruck frame this would be easy for them to produce.

The models are real. Whether a product ever comes to market remains to be seen.

Has anyone considered that they haven't bought the model YYY to the US is because they are doing the cybersuv? Which makes me wonder about them recently pushing a budget CT to lower inventory and delayed delivery dates might be for retooling. Maybe this year?

Just me wild hunching

Thats actually a solid point! More budget friendly version without all the bell and whistles of the past iteration. Better ROI in my mind. Especially since they built a dedicated port of launch out of Giga Texas for Cyber Tuck maybe Cyber SUV announced for next year after soft launch of Cyber Cab.

I think a CyberSUV is only going to make sense for Tesla with minimal changes, at ~220 in. it wouldn’t be mutually exclusive given the YL is 196 in. They’re very different vehicle segments.

I think the reason is that they don’t want the y-L and model x to compete and rob each other of sales. I think the L comes out the day they are done getting rid of model x inventory.

I'd love to see them do this and build the Y-L (or XL) on the Cybertruck platform.

I think it has a good chance of arrival. Spread the cost of production over two vehicles. The key is getting costs down and volume up of the Cyber line in general; I think the launch of the new base model suggests this is possible.
