Anyone have any info on using FPL's Evolution charging program and Powershare?
I have not yet decided on how to power my redelivery truck as of yet.
I realize that the 120V is likely not going to work for it.

I like the idea of the $38 per month but I'm reluctant of the 10 year commitment, early termination fee and non Tesla plug

I no nothing of FPL, but you mentioned "non Tesla plug"
Powershare (without Powerwall) requires Cybertruck to be plugged into the Universal Wall Connector.

I live in Palm Beach county and installed the FPL EVOLUTION charger last October.
I own a Y and a CT. The program uses off peak hours which works great for charging multiple EVs. The off peak hours is more than adequate The charging time is better for the Y than the CT and much better that the conventional 220 line
The program includes running the line from your panel to the charger however the 220 line was existing so FPL just had to remove the outlet and swap it out for their charger
The 10 commitment is to cover their cost of the complete install which I believe is $750 and prorated over the 10 years
As far as connection to the EV you will use the adapter that came with the vehicle
Highly recommend the program
Hope this info was helpful
Feel free to contact me if you have any further questions

I declined the FPL deal. They are essentially betting against your usage level. I want to retain that control. It simply isn’t discounted enough. Plus we’re snow birds so we’d be paying for unused months. The Tesla charger goes on you app with the car and is controlled through the app. If you add a gateway, functionality goes up further. FPL’s solution is okay for generic power, but cedes your control, requires adapters, etc. Yuck.

I’m a full time Florida resident operating 2 teslas so for me it makes sense.
Once you set up the program there is no need to go onto the FOL app unless you want to override to go into off peak charging
I reinstalled the original 220 outlet as a backup if the FPL unit malfunctions
As far as the adapter stays on the FPL cable

I just contacted them a couple weeks ago. I reached out to them to ask when they plan on upgrading their CCS plug to the now de facto standard of the NACS plug. Explained that basically all car manufacturers selling into the USA are in the process (or have already adapted to) using the NACS plug.

It was a total pain to actually reach a person, and once I finally did, it was via email. Their reply was that they basically had no plans or information to share on any plug changes. So basically, anybody getting any new EV, Tesla or not, will require an adapter to use thier charger for the foreseeable future. Just a disappointing response.

I’m still debating, but heavily considering going full solar and power walls to avoid them altogether.
