Powershare Voucher Scam

I got a $700 voucher as a result of buying a FS Cybertruck with Powerwalls and wall charger previously installed. I started using the voucher to make an $80 purchase on the Tesla website. That worked great. When I next went to the website to make an additional purchase using the voucher I was told it was not a valid voucher. My assumption was it would work like an Amazon gift card but I guess it doesn't. Apparently it is a one-time use regardless of the dollar amount of your purchase. Before you ask, yes I double-checked the voucher number to make sure it was entered correctly. Has anyone else experienced this?

IIRC, the “use it all or lose what’s left” provision was in the T&C for the voucher?

So instead of having $620 it is $0?
Would contact tesla on that, if there was only lke $20 left on it oh well, but thats a lot, considering you can only spend it there and what a value difference there is taking the voucher vs wall charger.

Can you cancel/return your $80 purchase, to get the full voucher back, by chance? Crazy!

" This promo code can only be used once and must be applied towards Tesla aftermarket products or apparel sold exclusively on shop.tesla.com. Any unused balance remaining after the transaction will be forfeited. "

geez that's infuriating! I had also been under the impression that it was a credit to be used bit by bit, like the referral points, but now I guess we know otherwise...I guess everyone in the family is getting a cyber owl tee

If you answer the survey and tell Tesla you already have a Powerwall (any version) and the older version 3 Wall Connector installed you get a $700 voucher. I thought Power Share required the newly released Universal Wall Connector? Do you at least have the option to choose the new Universal Wall Connector (even though I guess it can only be shipped to a Tesla certified electrician)? You can order a V3 Universal Wall Connector from Best Buy and have it delivered to your home address then you can choose the Electrician (maybe you).

I think it was already posted here that the voucher was one time use. It didn't get a lot of traction because it was probably buried in someone's reply under a different topic. I remember reading about this a few times somewhere. Hopefully Tesla allows a refund and give you a new voucher.

That is some seriously fine print.

Shady fine print if you ask me. That sucks they would do that.
I think it’s obviously written so you wouldn’t read the full disclaimer and think it’s like a gift card where the balance goes down after each purchase.
