The leading edge of the cantrail is towards the front of the vehicle where it catches all of the wind. That piece needs to be attached as securely as possible.
Incorrect. The wind force is minimal when the trim piece is flush. Tightening it more securely will only increase the load on the structural adhesive and increase the chance of failure.

If the trim piece starts to loosen on its own, I would apply a drop of theadlocker and tighten the nut back up sufficiently to line it up flush again. Problem solved. Also, don't over-heat the trim piece with a heat gun unless you have a reason to remove the adhesive, because heat is the approved method to remove structural adhesive from metal.

Hard to see I know, but it is there and is angled, so when you put in a wrench it lines up just right.

Watch the video I linked earlier in the thread, I watched it and followed those directions.
