Just got done with recall work for the cant tails. I’ve washed my truck many times over the last year. The seal they installed I have never had. I could always see into the side where the cant tails were connected. Always had to get needles and leaves out of there when cleaning. So my PSA is…. There should be a seal along the edges of the windshield.

Foundation Beast, delivered May 2024.
20k+ miles now.

I did not notice any change is cabin noise at freeway speed after they were installed. Too early to tell long term but so far my kw/mi went down a tad.

In the notes, from the tech:

Concern: windshield seal was lose

Repair Notes: The technician inspected the vehicle and verified that the windshield seal was

loose, contributing to the windshield crack. The issue was caused by the loose seal on both sides

of the windshield. The technician replaced the right and left side edge seals of the windshield to

resolve the problem. After the repair, the technician confirmed that the windshield was securely

sealed, preventing further issues.

Correction: Edge Seal - Windshield - RH - Remove and Replace
This is a great catch. The first 3 or 4 inches of the seal on my truck (near the wiper arm) is also hanging off of the window. I can't say for sure if this is a result of the cant rail replacement or not. I only noticed it after reading your PSA.

I haven't had the cantrail replaced and my seal is partially detacted.
Did have the wiper motor swap long ago.

This is an interesting thread. I would be interested to know if OP got the work done due to wind noise. I would also be interested to see some pictures of what the seal should look like, because mine is looks fine near the bottom but deep in the crack near the top, in all spots it's not actually adhered to the window.

I dont have much wind noise in the summer, but once it gets really cold it the wind sounds like a window is cracked open. I wonder if this could be the issue?

Probably your rear passenger window, winter I had to roll Mine down slightly and the wind noise stops

It should be adhered to the glass all the way up.

I had a couple loose seals, one under the wiper motor arm and also along the top frunk / windshield. My service center replaced both, but thinking the windshield washer fluid may be to concentrated and dissolving the seal adhesive. Any thoughts?

Tesla Cybertruck PSA: Windshield Seal…. You should have one IMG_1065

Mine came off on my 1st dual motor. They had to replace the windshield because they couldn’t get the new seals to adhere. I suspect it is the winter wiper fluids doing this. My new Beast is ok most of the way around but I noticed yesterday the lower left corner is starting to lose its grip. That’s where most of the wiper fluid runs off it seems
