So if your vehicle is damaged with the "right" motivation it's OK?
You're obtuse, but I will clarify this for you. The difference is that the Left doesn't just have the issue with the vehicle, unlike the EV haters you mentioned. The Left has the issue with the vehicle owner, which means the confrontations don't just end with the vehicle damage but rather can escalate to a violence against the owners.

You're delusional if you think the people who were unhinged enough to damage Teslas in the past also couldn't be motivated to escalate as well. Road rage happens daily for many reasons. And who do you think the coal rollers align with? Your extreme bias is on full display.

LOL. Yes as we all know, conservative coal rolling haters were, are and have always been famously tolerant of soy-boy libtards and their particular brand of irrational hatred is far superior.

I wish you zealots on both sides would just stop wasting so much energy and oxygen and spare the rest of us your collective lunacy.

I had a young lady stop me when I got out of my truck to go in the grocery store. She asked, "How do you like driving around in that thing?" I said, "It handles like a sports car, accelerates like a super car, rides better than my Escalade and does it on all terrain tires, what's not to love?" She jabbed back, "I don't love it. It looks stupid." I said, "Well... It's a good thing that I don't give a #$&^ what you think." and walked away. Nothing irritates me more than someone that asks me for my opinion about something and then tries to start an argument about what I said. I removed myself from the conversation. Constructive criticism is one thing, this was an attempt at another.

Gave me a thumbs down today. Laughter ensued.
But 2 people stopped me at my destination and said they loved the Beast.
The Odds are in our favor today.

Yeah, Bentonville, AR.most of my interactions are positive, just a few here and there that are middle finger, thumbs down and so on.

and Yeah....not seen a kid yet, that does not grow a huge smile when they see the CT.
I am in Bentonville also, and I agree with this message about the gestures and the kids. The Kids get so excited and start waving and screaming. As for the adults, I have middle fingers and thumbs too...

In the year that I have owned my CT I have gotten a wide range of reactions of the truck. The vast majority of them have been positive even including yesterday. But yesterday I experienced something I have only heard about, and it was really upsetting. We were at a store and parked directly in front of it. We were the only ones in a line of parking spaces. We were dead center in the parking spot. A woman pulled into a spot right next to us and parked very close; close enough that her daughter had to climb out of the driver's side door. They went and paid for parking, then took a short walk before the store opened, and then came back and the woman started shouting at my wife about the Cybertruck. That wasn't going to stand with me so I got into it with her. The odd thing was that she wasn't interested in having a conversation; she used an elevated volume the whole time, which pretty much required that I do the same. But that alone would not have been as disturbing as what she was saying. I do not recall the order of things but here is a list of things that she said:

- Your car takes up 2 spaces (I moved my truck so that we and they could use our doors)
- Your car is too heavy
- You are supporting Naziism
- You are supporting Communism (clearly she didn't know the difference, which I pointed out)
- Your Captain America shield is a mockery of the United States (apparently not knowing that Captain America is one of the most obvious symbols of the United States and what we stand for)

Every time I tried to talk with her about one of these attacks she would simply move to another one of her points. It was like an 'attack playbook', with no intention of actually talking about any of it. My wife tried to tell her that we were not happy with Elon Musk but it seemed like that wasn't her problem.

Eventually (this all took place over a couple of minutes) things got quite heated between us and I was ready to call the police or even hit her when I told her she had no business challenging me about what car I choose to buy/drive, and to just leave. The whole time her daughter was crying and begging her mother to stop, and to leave, and was being ignored. My wife tried to interject on behalf of the daughter, and eventually they left.

I never mind talking with people about the Cybertruck and its features, and I certainly wouldn't run from an argument about recent events with Elon and Washington, but if someone starts yelling at me and reciting a playbook of attacks then I will (and did) get defensive and protect my family and car. I hope that no one else here has experienced this kind of attack, and I truly hope that this kind of mindless animosity subsides before someone gets hurt, but part of me believes that it won't.

Since the parking lot had lots of space and she chose to park so close to you it would appear she was already gunning for an argument. There is nothing to gain by interacting with a short bus rider. It is so hard to just walk away from the “you get a trophy “ individuals. Hey her kid is traumatized enough.

I might have been able to ignore her had she not started her rampage with my wife. Oh well …

Yea, I’m with you on that one. Lots of women now seem to be the real anti everything combative individuals teaching their kids useless hate directed at anything. When my wife takes the truck she drives down a beautiful hammock covered backroad to the office. Many days she encounters a woman walking her dog in the middle of the road. This woman always gives her the finger and yells at her. She says it is so hard not to blow that obnoxious Cyber horn at her.! I’m going to try and find her and give her the Cubet horn.

Poor kid. An adult friend of mine grew up with a BPD/Bipolar Mom and the scars are deep and lasting. This story sounds so much like some of the stories they tell, Mom was always looking for an audience. I would factor that is not uncommon behavior for that woman unfortunately.

This is true, but it will be a different group next time. I had to worry about rednecks who worked in oil and gas who thought my model 3 was threat to their livelihood, and now mentally ill people who think Elon is a Nazi. Maybe it will be some group that thinks robots are out to destroy all humankind. Who knows.
