You absolutely need to report that first incident. That is dangerous to everyone on the road and completely unacceptable. If he keeps getting away with that type of behavior, he's going to keep doing it and hurt somebody some day. I bet a visit from the local police would make him think twice before doing something like that again. It's sad that this has become accepted behavior in America.
I live in Colorado. Boulder and Denver are very liberal areas and I drive through both of them, but I haven't seen this type of behavior here. I've been flipped off and get the occasional thumbs down (usually from a Subaru), but nothing violent. For the most part, nobody seems to care anymore. The truck still gets some looks, but it's mostly accepted here now, at least in my experience. Nobody ever gives my M3 a second look. If I lived in an area where I either needed to conform to somebody else's thoughts and beliefs or live in fear for the safety of my family, I would use every legal means necessary to fight back. If that failed, I would find a new place to live. I would not want to live in a place like that.

I live in a pretty liberal city in Southwest Michigan. In the past few weeks (as the weather has gotten warmer) things have really heated up in terms of Cybertruck hate.

First incident, driving on the highway towards town, a guy passes me on the right, cuts over into my truck (on FSD), nearly clipping the front of it. My truck swerves to the left to avoid him as he flips me off. I catch up to him to get a good video of his license plate, only to have him brake check me on the highway no less than 7 times, going from 80MPH (on FSD Hurry mode) down to about 5MPH in under half a minute. I have to drive on the left side of the road to avoid hitting him as he continues to flip me off. He pulls off at the next exit, exits his vehicle, and motions me to pull over and fight him!

Second incident. I'm in a restaurant with my family and this car drives up. A girl and her boyfriend walk around my car. He makes a motion as if he is keying my truck as he walks around it.

Third incident was this random guy in a maroon Suburu. I'm driving on FSD. He sees me in his rear view mirror, and begins to rage and wave his fist at me out his window. He slows down so I can pass him by, and you can see in the second video he tries to swerve into me. He continues to give me the thumbs down and shake his fist at me. The video cuts off after this, but as I'm about to slow down to turn left into a restaurant, he drives left to cut me off and tries to clip the front of my vehicle. FSD slows down to avoid an accident, and slows down to make the left into the restaurant. He nearly comes to a full stop in the road in front of me, but realizing I was already pulling into a restaurant, he drives ahead.

My cellphone access was restricted inside the restaurant, so I couldn't monitor the truck in Sentry Mode. I had to walk out to see if the guy had returned to key my truck. You just never know! I didn't notice anything suspicious, but I didn't walk around the entire truck. The next day I noticed this substance on the side of my truck...on the back tire mainly, but in both wheel wells, all along the side of the truck and on the plastic and stainless. It even splashed up onto my side windows a bit and on the back of the tailgate. At first I thought it was just mud, but on closer inspection I discovered it was actually paint! It's a pain to get off the truck. I had to use rubbing alcohol on the wheels and plastic, and acetone on the stainless. That's the only thing that would get this off! So far I've spent several hours trying to get this off. I never hit anything while driving so I can only assume some kind of paint bomb was put inside my wheel well or under my tire while parked so that when I drove it it would splash all over everything. Sentry mode never picked anything up. I spent hours so far removing the paint, and not sure I will ever get it all off. It's quite possible that I drove over something, but with all the road rage lately, it's highly unlikely. I have no recollection of hitting anything in the road over the past few days.

The fourth incident was last night, while driving on FSD in the right lane on a 3 lane highway. A guy came up on my lefthand side, very close to my truck, driving around 100MPH in a 70MPH zone. He intentionally swerved into the truck going 100 to try to get me to swerve to the right. I ignored him, and FSD handled it well, moving over slightly to the right, not even flinching.

All of these incidents happened in the last few weeks. I can only imagine how bad it will get this summer! It's gotten to where my wife and I are hesitant to take the truck and park in areas of town that are ultra-liberal.
Time to send this videos to the police, buy a gun (if you already don’t have one) and protect yourself and your family. We as a community should put these idiots in jail. They are a threat to society. How idiotic.
I am so sorry you and your family had to experience this.

The first thing you learn when carrying a firearm is that every bullet has a lawyer attached to it. Justified or not both sides of road rage can be expensive and life changing. Be prepared but prudent.

There have always been morons but now they're socially connected by unsocial networks. Ignorance loves company.

I have many guns and had two in the truck with me at the time (I'm a CPL holder). I was alone and returning from an awards banquet where I won 2nd place in the Sharpshooter pistol category across all of West Michigan. So yes, I'm prepared to defend myself, but would prefer not to engage.

The reason I caught up to him in the first place was to capture his plate on video. I probably shouldn't have done that but wanted to make sure I got his plate. The first video was auto-captured, which I didn't even realize. The second and third videos were split into separate videos with a small gap in between. I wasn't even sure my truck had fully captured the incident until I got home.

I considered going to the police but it was a Sunday, State police is 1/2 hour away, and I didn't want to risk my address getting out there. I did look it up online and got conflicting info about calling 911. Now it's been a few weeks after the fact...likely too late to report? I also got a good look at him when he jumped out of his vehicle at the side of the road to encourage me to engage him in a fight. I will just say that he fit the profile. We've had quite an increase in undocumented immigrants here in Michigan over the past 4-8 years. Can't say for sure he was undocumented but the orange tag was missing from the corner of his plate so he may not even have auto insurance and registration, let alone US citizenship.

To resolve the driver issues doing brake check on you, replace front bumper with all steel bull bumper. Video and lightly tap the brake but allow slow speed for contact on that plastic car. That'll learn em.

It's insane the mental health crisis we are experiencing. There are a lot of cars I do not like but I would never even consider doing anything about it.

Op you need to contact the police. This is no joke. I'm in se Michigan visiting family and no issues around here.

I regularly travel to SE Michigan as well, and no issues like this.

Crazy stuff, are you sure you didn’t accidentally cut them off? Although I have had a few middle fingers, nothing crazy like that

I did just have someone in a Jaguar F-type stick there hand out with a thumbs up and then pointed it down….i just nodded, wasn’t sure what he meant but vast majority of interactions here in blue NJ are fine so go figure.

Some people are nuts and indoctrinated it seems, why anyone would hate someone because of what they drive beats me…..reminds me of the 80s when there were reports of vandalism on Japanese cars in the areas of the country that built cars (that at least was somewhat understandable but still wrong…..this is just crazy)

Nope, I didn't cut him off. I was going 80 in the left lane. Video didn't show it, but my truck was passing a number of slower cars that were in the right lane. I was in hurry mode, which keeps me at about 79-80 in a 70 zone. He was behind me, and going the same speed, then suddenly decided he wanted to pass me on the righthand side going about 100. I didn't even see him coming.

I used to live in Detroit. I drove a Toyota to work (agency of record for Chrysler). I couldn't drive it into the Chrysler office - they wouldn't allow any foreign cars inside. There would be guys spitting on my car on the highway on the way home. Heard of people getting their foreign cars scratched up in parking lots. I also owned a FIAT Spider at the time, which was a death wish. They hated it ... until FIAT bought Chrysler of course. Then all of a sudden it was ok to drive it.

I was visiting an Auto Parts store in rural central Ohio, and customers approaching the parts counter were always greeted with "Ford or Chevy?" One poor sap answered "but I have a Volvo" and they literally chased him out of the store with taunts of "GO BACK TO RUSSIA!"

Everyone's entitled to an opinion. I think "ain't America great!" when someone gives me the finger lol. But violence against persons and property based solely on "your opinion" is anathema to the principles of a free society.

I too would be inclined to involve law enforcement for such poor behavior... OTOH, the best revenge is living well, and I get to enjoy my truck while the other guy gets to simmer in the juices of his own depravity.
