I recently ran battery down around 7% and then charged to 100% to trigger BMS calculation while on a trip. Range for for me is at 310 miles for a full charge. Looks like I degraded 8 miles since taking delivery in June 24. Originally I was at 318. Sound about right? Did I run the process right? What's your method for tracking battery performance?

Thanks,
Seribus

Not sure about that process
For me, after 1.5 years and 27,000 miles, my range at 100% charge shows 309 miles.
380.1 W/mile over that time on stock tires.
Switching to K03 tomorrow
Literally no major issues (accelerator pedal rivet, one original Wrangler tire threw a belt and came unbalanceable, replaced rear tonneau trim)

I don't doubt what you are reporting. I find it odd that 309 miles x 380.1W = 117.45Kw . The battery is 123Kw, so is it reserving those last 5 for something else?

To my understanding, Tesla’s usually keep running after you hit 0%, it’s supposed to be like a hidden reserve.

Tesla also estimates range, so some of that range loss could be an adjustment to your driving style, and metrics, as opposed to underlying mechanical or structural degradation of the actual battery cells.

20K miles, I rarely charge to 100%, but when I do, I usually see 312 range.

So, one oddity that might point to a bottom buffer can be seen in the service menu. If you go to this screen, it'll show your HV pack, and it gives you a SOC Avg. Here, it's 53.8% and yet my Model 3's SOC is showing as 47%.

And, yes, there's one on my CT as well. Here it's showing 42.7% as the average of the 4 battery units, but the BMS displays only 35% SOC.

Then, the way I calculate what the BMS thinks my pack size is, is by looking at the Energy Consumption screen. Any mileage range works. Just do the calculation and I get 121.5kWh. There's obviously rounding going on, but close enough:

I charged to 80% last night and I am pretty sure I had around 245 miles listed. Seems like it use to be 264 ish miles. It is cold in NC and about 32f this morning. I grabbed this screen for my work drive. Seems like from comments it's right on pare with what folks are seeing. I need to learn more about this and how to monitor better just to understand.
