You hear every interior noise because the exterior noise is greatly diminished. The lack of a cycling gasoline engine creates a white noise, it is loud enough that it drowns out interior noises. Your brain can now focus on that interior noise because your newer Tesla is so much more quiet inside and out. Turn on your radio.
Sorry I wasn't clearer, but that is what I meant :)

...thoughts on what we can do to get Elon to ensure this is super prioritized like it is at Toyota?
ELON'S BUCKET LIST:
1. Accelerate transition to renewable energy
2. Aggressively drive down costs, and streamline manufacturing
3. Make life multiplanetary
...
269. squeaks and rattles

Haha, quality matters!! Besides the crazy prices it’s easily the worst thing about a Tesla! Elon should def get some huge attention there for Cybertruck to ensure it’s practically impossible for it to be built with squeaks and rattles, or any quality issue. Perhaps a quality task force that maybe loses stock options for every rattle or misaligned panel that makes it out the door lol

So I bought a Model 3 in Feb this year to hold me over until the Cybertruck comes out, and I have to say that the thing I hate the most about it is how much it rattles and creaks from random spots at random times all the time. I don't know if it's simply because it's an old design, or because they are made in California, so they don't test how their designs work in changing temperatures, etc - does anyone have thoughts on this?

It's definitely worrisome to me that the Cybertruck would have the same issue, especially since I'd be doing far more aggressive things with it, and it's meant to be a tank. How can you enjoy or brag about your bullet proof tank and then it's interior is squeaking and rattling after a few months, even when not going over bumps lol.

I've had many many cars, and Toyotas for example never make a sound 20 years later - those things are rock solid. I watch Sandy Munro and he hasn't spoken much about squeaks and creaks and what Tesla should do differently there. Anyone have any thoughts to inspire confidence on this? Or thoughts on what we can do to get Elon to ensure this is super prioritized like it is at Toyota?
Cybertruck is a completely different design, plus it should have air pressure cabin. And if the noises bother you just turn up your music LOL

I wonder if my ears will need to be equalized after getting into my CT... And if the pressure will be constant, does that mean that driving up and down mountains will not cause a need for further inner ear equalizations? Of course, getting out of the CT at the mountain top would then require a further equalization....

That's a great idea, I'm sure Elon and his team can figure it out😁👍

I thought I remembered reading that Tesla had implemented active cab noise canceling, like fairly recently. ??
From Model X website:
Your Best Audio System
A 22-speaker, 960-watt audio system with Active Road Noise Reduction offers the best listening experience wherever you are.
Model S website says the same thing almost verbatim.
No mention (that I could find) of active noise cancelation in Model 3 or Y.

Awesome! Do you see a lot of temperature changes where you are? I’ve definitely found that mine rattles less when it’s warm this last month. Curious if Tesla just needs to increase their quality design and testing to better account for cold temperatures. The door handles I think are a clear case that they are weak in this area

I have to wonder if some of the posts with problem issues are from Tesla owners at all. Just efforts to spread "issues" that don't exist.

lol, you’re wondering if I actually have a Tesla because I’m bringing up rattles and quality issues? In my opinion it’s quite odd to assume Tesla doesn’t still have quality shortcomings to address, and that others are lying. Munro just had a video with a woman taking delivery of a model y, and that thing had all sorts of issues

Tesla has a bit of a spotlight on it. The descriptions of failures fit my experience of how most of their target competition has performed. So I don't see it as lying, so much as taking something out of proportion to its real effect.

First hand experience and knowledge always works best for me.
