There are definitely some sharp edges and burrs on my CT. Not razor sharp by any means, but sharp enough that I've cut myself a few times drying it off after a wash. The underside of my tailgate is one spot I'm especially careful since it'll take a bite out of you while drying off the bumper. It's pretty thick steel, rolling the edges wouldn't be necessary or practical, but I'll probably try a deburring tool in a few spots.

I ran my fingers along all the panels of my CT and have yet to find any razor sharp edges or burrs. There is no denying a toddler or inattentive person could hurt themselves walking into an open door or tailgate but that doesn’t make it a design flaw. If you have toddlers around your truck then you might want to consider padding the edges, just as you might for a modern glass table in your family room.

Bro you said gallons ?
Gallons is right I'm 51yrs old and I couldn't recall all the injuries I've suffered over the years but here's a few of the bloodiest moments teenager playing baseball in the neighborhood ball was hit over the home run fence it was just your standard old white picket fence. " I'll get it ". So, I go and hop the fence I get up on the fence standing on top of the fence I spot the ball and jump. well, that day I learned where the wrestling term clothesline came from. did not even see the clothesline it hit me right on the center of my forehead and I bounced off that clothesline strait back where I came from, but my head was leading the way, and it found a nice big block of home run concrete that just happened to be lying right there in the flower bed. I had to walk home about a whole city block by the time I got home my whole back side from my head down to my socks was drenched in blood. many stiches later i was back in action. The same picket fence except this time it was basketball, and the ball got stuck up on the roof. so i use the picket fence and a brick column next to it to reach the roof from the column it was a bit of a stretch and jump to get on the roof getting on was easier than getting off and as i was up there the guy that lived there came out and started yelling at me " hay get the fuck off the roof " and I panicked reaching for the brick column with my foot. I thought I had my foot on it and I released my grip and down I fell onto the picket fence my leg hit one of the points then slid into the space between 2 points and got jammed in there. I had to lift my leg out of there to free myself I didnt get impaled but I opened up a nice gash down my chin my blue jeans were bright red by the time I got home. and later as an adult i had 2 fingertips amputated in a work-related accident. did I mention I played in a full contact men's league Hockey! have you ever been hit with a slap shot on the eye barrow? I have!
so yeah 2 gallons is a conservative amount.

I'll have to grab a cucumber or potato and film how just like a potato peeler I can shave the skin off as if it was a sharp knife. shavings will come off of it. not chunks but thin shavings.

I didn't even include the time I was T-boned by a semitruck with trailer hauling a heavy load hit me full speed going through an intersection and dragged me across the whole length of the intersection 6 lanes strait into the light pole on the opposite corner that pole hit my Range rover just behind the driver side door with so much force that I still had enough momentum to do a 540 spin off the pole and came to a rest on the front lawn of a business. that car saved my life minor cuts and burses with 2 broken ribs. and Luckly I was alone because the rest of the car was gone the initial impact ripped my fuel tank open like a can opener and it had a full tank. Fuel was thrown everywhere, and I'm strapped in unable to release the seat belt it got crushed and the plastic case was gone on the lock mechanism i struggled with it for a sec then the driver was standing at my door all the glass was gone the roof was gone. he's standing there looking at me. I say you got a knife cut my seat belt .and swish he pops open a pocketknife and it was sharp he hesitated I said what are you waiting for and with one swipe he cut the belt I climbed out and when i hit the floor that's when I felt the pain then my Angel appeared I call her my angle just a random lady that wrapped her scarf around me and told me don't look don't worry about your car its gone. until the ambulance came and got me then the morphine kicked in until the catheter was inserted No take it out, take it out! ha-ha that's a sensation I never felt before.

It is obviously a manufacturing defect and unfortunately it is more common and more serious than most are willing to admit.

I got both my wrists slit on first occasion, literally less than 24hrs after I reported concern with another edge and got service appointment scheduled..
A child with small fingers that would try holding on to the top edge of the rear side panel in the similar way would likely suffer horrifying injury..

And the fact that there apparently is no specification for smoothness of the stainless steel panels edges is extremely concerning:

Repair Notes: Deburred right front door inner edge of outer stainless steel body panel and topedge of left and right bedside sail panels. Verified edges are smooth to match all other panels on body. (there is no specification for sharpness in CVIS)

I have the same issue on my truck. oh yeah, I started this thread and everyone I mention this to they either don't believe me that it is as sharp i make it out to be. or they just want me to ignore it ahh it's not that bad. But I'm telling you it really is razor sharp in some of the most dangerous places like the door outer edge!
And here's the best part I just got back from the service center was scheduled today to get a new tailgate, one that still has the missing Cerberus logo. I figured I'll let them know about the sharp edges and they should be able to fix it. well turns out I show up they don't have a tailgate for me, so they have to reschedule me back in a week. so, I tell them about the edges and the mechanic or technician that's been assigned to my truck he holds up his hand to show me his band-aids and says, "Tell me about it " and he had band aids wrapped all around a finger. he goes on to say I know they are sharp but unfortunately there's nothing we can do about it, and that I would have to do it myself if i wanted to. he went on to explain what might work. but it's all the uncertainty that I'm getting from them that has me the most worried. why make me come in for no reason if the service visit was scheduled more than a month from when i made the request for a new tailgate, they had over a month to get the part. and why didn't they let me know that there's no need to come in we don't have the part yet. why do other customers get better or more service? why aren't there standards across the board!

Tesla needs to finish off the mfg process. They laser cut panels and don't bother finishing them off.

It's a cost cutting measure they, at one point, gleefully pointed to. Clearly it's not enough.

I mean in the same sentence he tells me there's nothing they can do but hers what you can do to fix it! what is this? why are they giving me this treatment? maybe because I've been honest with my feedback?
