My rearward view is quite dark; matching the ambient and sidecam levels of brightness. Yours looks brighter than the ambient lighting, as if the "gain" had been turned up.Is it normal to have this much flare from lights in rearview camera?
My rear cam flares worse than that. I've cleaned it and had service look at it and they can't replicate it even though I have pics because the techs don't work at night. It's frustrating unfortunately when there is a huge amount of traffic behind me, the entire rear display loses all detail from the flared headlights. I installed a digital rear view mirror but it has the typical 2k x 30 fps problem of showing everyone's LED running lights as blinking. the Sony Starvis 2 cam has better night vision, but sucks on resolution vs the stock rear cam.Is it normal to have this much flare from lights in rearview camera?
