As someone who had his fly off in middle of Chicago traffic, get it done..
I know the recall is for all, but I wonder if the affected vehicles are the ones who went through the extreme cold.

Side note, as someone who picked up a 34,5XX model back in September, I'm semi shocked we're only up to 46,0XX. Based on Joe's drone videos, I thought we'd be in the 85,000's now...

What's the largest VIN anyone has seen to this point?

If I follow you
Tesla doesn't use every VIN number.
VIN 35,000 wasn't the 35,000th truck produced.

Doesn’t Tesla have responsibility for those of us with wraps to recover the cost of the re-wrap?

Mine look fine but maybe because I am in Florida? It will soon be 1 year since I got the truck. I guess I will just wait and see if I notice anything.

Just wondering for those that say I will just wait as I live in "Y" and it is warm or such or mine seems ok now.
The point of the recall is to fix a defect that could cause a part to fall off or at worst a accident. I would hate to be behind you going 55 or 65 and it blows off and causes a issue with me or someone else driving behind you. Sure 999 out of 1000 fails will not be a issue but that one if it causes a minor accident or worst is what I worry about. Of course maybe CT owners care more about your wraps getting messed up than the safety of others on the road.

Hopefully they don’t put an external rivet in the cant rails like they did to the go pedal…
Dude, I would return the truck. They need to be better than that. Last I heard it was a weld and different adhesive? that is the fix though.

My VIN is a few hundred away from the recall number, perhaps I made the cut.

If they did your wrap then I think they will fix it, otherwise no, and in reality, you can re wrap the rail yourself. It's a flat piece that is easy to do.

If mine gets done, I'll ask the shop that did mine and if it's too much, I'll just do it myself.

gotcha. If I knew what i was doing I wouldn’t worry about it. But I’m not. And given this is a manufacturer defect, seems to me they are responsible.
