Happy Thanksgiving!
I placed an order in early October. I have no delivery date, and I just got a note that I need to redo my financing. Cherry on top is, cost of financing increased contrary to fed’s move last month. Yes, bond market yada I know idgaf - not the point of my story.
Via chat, I asked about the $2k referral credit and the $1k credit to me. So that’s $3,000 (however, I would miss out on the initial $100 deposit from 2020 and another $250 from October) in total….aaaaand I was of course told that referral credit can not be applied to existing orders.
In summary, I have:
1. no car
2. no financing and
3. no delivery date.
I am a current Tesla owner, and will not be trading it in. That said, it appears that a logical thing to do is order via a different email address and put it in my wife’s name. It is absurd that I am unable to get the $3k or even anything as an existing owner, but tesla rules are Tesla rules - fine.
When / if I take delivery in the near future, how difficult is it to merge the two accounts?
thanks!
