This may not be a popular topic, but I can not think of a better place to lock and have access to my firearm than the Glove Drawer. One of my issues is it has to be quick to access and pulling something up on the screen to open it is not quick. I am hoping there could be a bluetooth button, nfc or similar to activate the drawer. I am sure somebody will come out with a solution in the console or floor area, but this would work ok for me for now. I understand the bluetooth button would eliminate some of the security, but if you make a lock and unlock function on the screen that allows it to function or not function like a key in a glove box it would be similar.

In my 2020 MYLR, you can assign pressing the left scroll wheel to various functions, including opening the glove box.

I have it that way and it works great.

Just push the voice button and say "open glovebox" granted you may have to do that under stress

I keep mine in a safe with a cable lock under the driver's seat.
I don't know if you've tried it in your CT yet, but for whatever reason the seat hardware is the opposite of conducive to this. the immediate under seat area near your feet has a horizontal bar and if you put a regular personal/handgun safe there, it's like only half hidden. sort of annoying

My CT is still pending, but I use the safe the same way I do in all my other cars. I always have my gun on me when I'm driving, so it's not locked. I only lock it when I go inside the postal office or other places where you obviously can't take it with you.

For the Cybertruck, the large space under the driver's seat seems like a possibility, but I'm unsure if it would fully accommodate the safe. The glove compartment or underneath the rear bench seats might be other options to consider.

What are other CT owners using for secure handgun storage? Are there any aftermarket mounts or safes designed specifically for the Cybertruck's interior?

don't have my truck yet but was just planning on using the glove box. have my permit but don't cary on person so for me glove box is fine - rubber line it - pistol + 2 mags, flashlight, knife! Open with voice or button - not accessible with car off (locked behind car perimeter + software driven opening), can put PIN on it, etc. For me this will work, for others that are more "ready" I understand the challenges with that setup.

Not trying to troll, but just pointing out some advice to a fellow carrier :). I'm a Texas LTC instructor with all sorts of other certifications, and like you, I carry pretty much everywhere I'm allowed to (and, rarely, some places I'm not).

However, the post office is special. It's governed by a separate code (39 C.F.R. § 232.1) and two important things make it special: the parking lot of a post office is considered federal property, and they do NOT have to post signs for it. With the exception of one special post office in Colorado (the decision of which I think was actually struck down in appeals court), it is illegal to carry, even in your vehicle, in a USPS parking lot (except for a part that is leased to or used exclusively by another business).

In the rare circumstances I have to go to the post office, if I'm carrying I'll park in a neighboring lot or on the street. I don't want some Karen telling security they saw me putting my Glock in the glove compartment in the parking lot lol.

Much appreciated!
