Not too bad honestly, but with some tools and patience you can install it too. Brackets and screws are around $120 plus VHT tape and adhesive promoter add another $40. I say it might be worth it for some to get it installed by the SC. I enjoy the satisfaction of doing it.

SC will install it. Cost me $475 for brackets and installation

Not all of them will.

I was shut down by three SC’s for installing a BNIB Tesla lightbar not sourced directly from Tesla.

Only one SC would sell me the install parts. The other two said the parts are not for over-the-counter sales.

They will. You must tell them you bought it already and you take all responsibility for any future damage etc I can pull my invoice, I bought mine on eBay and was installed last month

No they won’t.

I told them all that, and the only way they’d install is if I could show proof I bought the lightbar directly from Tesla.

No need to show me your invoice. I’m not disputing you got yours installed by Tesla.

There have been several others on this forum who had a sympathetic SC install a lightbar bought from eBay.

But there have also been several (like me) who were totally shut down on install.

No matter, mine is installed (by me haha!!), it looks great + I saved some $$!!
