Great report than you for sharing! I run without the Aero Covers since day 1 so didnt run into that. The efficiency gain in the tires more than negates the aero covers I think. Never really liked the covers

You need to push the center to lock it in, the way they are installed in the pictures have a risk of flying off. You need to push the center until you hear a locking click, it will look concave, not flat like in the pictures.

Hello has anyone tried 275/65-R20 Defenders on base AWD? Or do you stick with the 285/60? I am not familiar with tires and tires sizing etc.

Or have you used the Cooper DISCOVERER ATP II?
My goal is efficiency.

also, I seem to get less than 350/
-400watts/mi with the Scorpions. Does that seem normal?

Thanks for all these post. Convinced me to install the Defender LTX here at Discount Tire today even. Like the look and will run the covers on still I think since clear. Look forward to the efficiency, longer lifespan, and hope some noise reduction. I mean it is a truck still....

I really hope Hankook eventually makes a tire specifically for cybertruck. Ones that are EV spec with a high load range.

Run the stock size for sure.

Scorpions are more efficient than the Defenders, that's normal.

Defenders are for people that want a more efficient and quieter tire than the AT's without going to a car tire like the Scorpions. Also for people that want a more aggressive tire than the Scorpions without going to a noisy tire like the AT.

Keep the updates coming! I run two sets of wheels. The duratrac wranglers have been great through the winter. The original good years that came on the truck were pretty much toast after 30,000 km. I'm thinking these will be a better option than the stock all terrains.

How do the outside diameter dimensions differ with it being a slightly different size? I wonder what the weight difference between the actual Core wheel itself vs Cyber wheel itself is?

Grok
The Core Wheel + cover weighs approximately 31.55 lbs per wheel, while the Cyber Wheel + cover weighs 39.6 lbs per wheel. The Core setup is lighter by about 8 lbs per wheel (or ~32 lbs for a full set of four).

I don’t notice a major difference 275/65r20 vs 285/65/r20. Obviously the cyberwheel covers were designed for GY AT tires.
I might test some lightweight wheels next.

I've only had the Defenders for a couple thousand miles now and most of it winter weather.
The grip feels like its slightly worse than the stock ATs but like as the OP said that may improve as the outer layer wears off.

I haven't really had a chance to check efficiency improvements yet. I'll be taking a trip to go to Chattanooga Charge this weekend so that will be the first example I have with real distance.

I'm running the stock size and got them from Costco (MICH DEFENDER PLATINUM LT285/65R20).

At this point, I definitely wont be returning to the AT's. I kept them incase I needed a winter tire. Nope. CT ran through snow and ice just fine with the Defenders. Still glad I went with the LTX Plat.

Traction does improve. Still not same as AT, and as I've said over and over.. I ONLY notice it on beast launches and hard, egregious cornering where I'm trying to show off. Day to day, there's no difference, they are quite good.
