In a recent off road excursion I seem to have damaged this trim piece (rear driver side ). It hangs low though for now I have pushed it back up a bit.

I am not really sure what it is even called tbh. Can someone point me to the steps in the service manual where I can replace this part - assuming I can order the part from Tesla. Thanks.

That's the left rear, right? If so...

Open a service ticket and ask for price/availability. When you schedule the "service," you'll just be picking up the part.
Thank you for the part. I have sent in a service request asking for the part. Looks like I need to remove the rear driver side fender flare to get access to all the bit and bolts needed to get that piece off. Not 100% sure, but I think this is the process? Also, Tesla recommends you remove the wheel fairings before offroading - they are there for aerodynamic performance.

I've lost three of those damn "fairings". And they are a pain to remove and replace. Hope someone can come up with a 3D printed part that is flat and out of the way. For now I just go without them.

What does it look like without the fairing?

Locally, 15 dollars for the part. I was in for some other service, they replaced one, service and all, for 55 bucks. And then I whacked that one. Always passenger side.

Bought some ppf from RPM Tesla, gonna see if that helps but I honestly don't know how I keep doing that.

The mobile service tech replaced one of mine for $56. You can replace yourself pretty easily with a T20 driver and a 10mm socket/wrench. It might be that your top T20 screw is stripped out. I’ve had some luck using a thicker threaded screw to hold that fairing tight against the truck body when the T20 was torn out from impacting debris on the highway. You might not need to replace it!

This goes unsaid for Tesla: they don’t take you over the coals for parts like all of the other OEMs, especially the German ones.
Agreed. Worked in auto parts for ~10 years. IMO, Tesla is not in the business to make a ton of money off of parts. I found a lot of their parts prices very reasonable if not surprisingly low.
