Four average sized guys going hunting, fishing or going to a work site pretty much all fit the bill. You know, using trucks for truck stuff.

Now that the trucks are open to the public I will have to go take a look and see what I think of the back seat situation.
Again, if I add up all the time you spend in a vehicle, with 4 guys in your truck, hunting, fishing, or working and it adds up to more than 1% of your total mileage you are probably an outlier. It's not that those things don't happen, it's that your life will not look like that, most of the time. And if it does, then you are an outlier. Math don't lie.

I think the CT should first and foremost be a highly capable truck, not something for people to pose with at shopping malls and fast food drive throughs.... but Elon's a billionaire and I'm not so I assume he has this figured out and the mall posers are a very large market segment.

The preponderance of truck owners are mall posers by your logic (there is no logic in your statement) . And here's the math...
Here's the shape of the F-150 over the years. If you truly thought your truck was for truck stuff, then it would look like the original: built for work and not transportation.

Tesla Cybertruck Scratch and Sniff - Cybertruck Show & Tell From Hands-On Seat Time in Showroom 1707274191821

And here's the results of a nine year survey of truck usage:

If you fall into the outlying percentage of people in each of these categories for what has become a luxury people hauler, then congratulations! You are the outlier that I mentioned in my first post. But don't confuse what a vehicle CAN do with what it does most of the time.

Cheers!

If you're 6'4" and your head is "barely touching the glass" then that is a real problem for someone your height or even a few inches shorter on a bumpy road.

On other trucks if you get jostled around in the second row you will at most bump your head into the soft headliner... not have it impacted into a giant sheet of glass.
As someone who is 6’4” I couldn’t agree more. That’s why I have no plans to ever sit in the back seat lol. No one in my family and friends circle are over 6’ so they should all be comfortable back there.

For most this won’t matter, but I can say from experience that sitting in the back of an F150 or 1500 getting a tour of the construction site and then hitting a dried up mud rut tends to send you crashing into the headliner.

It seems that all of the Cybertrucks in the showrooms were open to the public to sit in and play with as of 6pm last night.
I spent about an hour poking around the the one in the showroom in League City TX just outside of Houston today. Completely surprised when I showed up, there were 4 Cybertrucks in the back lot, 2 in the delivery showroom and 1 more in the service center showroom that was open to scratch and sniff. Fantastic!

A couple querks and features (shout out to DeMuro).
1. I think they added little rubber corner protectors on the bottom corners of the hood. I don’t remember seeing that in any media before. Good move.
2. The edges are not nearly as sharp as many have made them out to be on the panels.
3. I’m 6’4” and my head just barely touches the glass in the back seat.
4. It is really solid. The built quality is great.
5. Give me my Cybertruck! (first week reservation holder, still waiting)

I can see a payload sticker near the right edge of this pic, attached to. the driver's door jamb. If you happen to go back, it would be nice to get a picture of that. Don't think anyone has posted a Cybertruck payload sticker yet.

Based on the vins of the truck in the showroom, made on 1/24, and the truck parked out back, made 1/29, it seems like they are at about ~60 trucks a day.

The two salesmen told me they were at 1000 a day and had heard that they would be at 5000 a day soon. That didn’t make sense to me.

Before I take this and run with it, it's probably safe to assume they don't know what they're talking about.

However

My understanding that cybertruck is only being built in one shift right now. We haven't had real vin estimation in over a week. 1000/day run rate could possibly mean if they were running 2 shifts, or even 3. Which could mean they are at 1000/day/3 shifts = 333 trucks per day.

I make no assertions of knowledge, but in my book that's pretty plausible. Especially given the number of trucks sitting outside of the factory ~ doubled in the last few days based on the drone videos. I was counting 25-30 at the time of flyover the last few weeks, and then in the last 5 days or so I've been counting 55-60 per flyover.
