"Official" tire places (Costco, discount tire, etc) won't repair any tires that have a screw or a nail too close to the sidewall, other than that they should repair it for you. I had a screw too close to the sidewall few weeks back, discount tire did not fix it per their policy, instead had it replaced for free through their warranty, they had to order the tire and it got there in 2 days, in the meantime I went to my cheap shop down the road and the guy plugged it for me until the new tire came into discount tire. I got the certificate/warranty from discount tire, it's $100 per tire I think.UGH!!!! Went out this morning and heard a “click click click” sound coming from the rear of the truck. It was all too familiar so I turned around and came home. Upon inspection found a screw in the rear passenger tire. I have an appointment at Costco to get the tire plugged. Have any of you had to have your tire plugged? I’m really hoping it’s not a replacement since you can’t buy these from anyone other than Tesla at this point.
