Oh interesting, what’s your vin series ? Perhaps that’s why there is a containment hold 🤦‍♂️
My VIN is a low 60000.

90 days free supercharging too, so if you put miles on it, take trips to cedar point etc, you can break even or close to it.

This is a good way to look at. Maybe I'll sign up for Uber and make money off the deal too? :p

Hey all. I just got my 2025 CT back from service yesterday. I had a cosmetic issue with the front passenger seat where the seatback wasn't installed properly at the factory.

Today, my daughter and I were out running errands. At one point, my daughter got out of the truck before me. I noticed the seatbelt she was using looked a little odd. I walked to the passengers side of the truck for a closer look and saw what's shown in the attached Pic. I love my truck, but im a little freaked out what could have happened if we were in an accident.

To FIX: insert the exposed end into the receiver then turn the little head HORIZONTAL with a screwdriver! That’s it-it’s not broken-someone (the tech) on your recent service visit probably forgot (failed) to re-engage the key lock.

It appears the Service Center did not properly reattach the seat beat. Here is a Service Manual picture to make sure the seat beat is on and locked into place:

Clearly this was a service mistake, right up there with neglecting to tighten the lugs. Such errors can have deadly consequences.

This is why you need to contact the Service Center manager: so that the responsible employee can be corrected, and all the employees receive emphasis on safety.

I wouldn't expect any consideration from them, other than an offer to correct the mistake and perhaps an apology. Remain calm but firm, and in future visits they will remember you as the man they put in harm's way and yet treated them with dignity.

I dread service visits. Often in worse shape than went in. Plus trying to figure what they didn't put back together correctly.

Well, taking anything apart usually results in leftover pieces (at least, it does when I do it lol)

For simple stuff (like cleaning the forward camera area) I prefer to do it myself. But I won't be able to swap out my own PCS module when the time comes.
