Sensitive Seatbelt Warning

1st Tesla, if there’s a workaround I’m sure it’s listed somewhere I just didn’t see it. the seat belt warning for passengers is pretty sensitive. Is there a way to turn this off? A 6 pack makes the alarm sound. Not the end of the world but kind of annoying.

I had a couple of dog harness leads that clipped onto the seat belt receptacle. I cut the fitting off of one and keep it in my glovebox for such occasions. You can get them for just a few bucks.

I never knew there was even such a thing. At first, I couldn’t even figure out why you were suggesting that this would be useful and then I realized holy crap - it clicks into the seatbelt!

I will also say this to OP. I have five Teslas and the cyber truck is indeed insanely sensitive more so than any other Tesla or other car that I have! It’s very annoying and they need to recalibrate in my opinion.

Anyways, I’m gonna get a couple to restrain my actual dogs, not beer. ?

When the warning comes on, just touch it and it turns it into child seat mode.

When I get in, I often check to see if any are on and then turn them back off.

I installed some sweet seat covers and now I have the constant nagging while driving alone in the car from the passenger seat. I thought just locking in the seatbelt would be a temporary solution but then the car won't lock when I walk away and Spotify stays linked to my car and not my headset. Super annoying to have to click it in and out every time. Does anyone have a solution?

I have the same problem. It is way too sensitive.

I haven't noticed this in 7 months of driving a Cybertruck.

But I'm very unlikely to stash things on the passenger seat either, there is almost always a better place. In any case, it sounds like there is an easy way to cancel the alert for your drive.

Well, gentleman, you heard the man! It was interesting hearing your perspective, but we have to shut this down. Your complaints have been deemed INVALID and therefore you’re gonna just have to move on. ????

As you can see above:

1. Never happened, … “to me.”
2. You’re doing it wrong.
3. It’s really a non-issue because there’s a workaround.

Standard dismissal. It’s really a shame. I was pulling for you guys, but alas, you’re gonna have to suck it up and if you’ll also do it quietly in the back, that would be swell!

What about just touch the child seat icon when the reminder comes on?
