Ok, the guy in the video said to use or that he did use the one with a cutting agent. Try the one without first and then the one with?

You will add swirl marks to the truck that weren't there to begin with if you use the one with cutting agent. He used that because it's what he had. You want to try the least aggressive method first, and not go more aggressive unless the first try didn't work. The version without cutting agent has been the most widely recommended around here because it seems to take care of all contaminants without needing the cutting agent.

Someone posted earlier that Tesla recommends CitriSurf 77 stainless steel rust remover and passivation cleaner. You might try that on the panels impacted.

mine had a few scrathces here and there along with a few other cosmetic issues, but took delivery and learning not to let it bother me for the price we all paid. I love the truck, but slightly annoyed with the less than new condition it arrived in.

Did you try to have them repair any of the issues? Yeah, it's a pretty high price along with the extra for the foundation series, doesn't seem like it's too much to ask that and not be all scratched and scuffed up. But if everybody that's getting one right now just takes whatever they get, whoever's in charge of shipping these things and delivering them thinks they're batting a thousand.

I did not.

Overall I am happy with the truck, but slightly disappointed with where the company is today vs. when I picked up got my first Model S back in 2014. I get that they are a different company today and welcome the growth, but it still a little annoying that they don't pay as much attention to the details like they use to.

I wouldn’t be happy, I do find it amazing that Tesla owners don’t demand better quality, if we all did they wouldn’t have no choice but to provide it. I have a Cybertruck on order, I’m not sure what direction I’ll be going.

They do in other countries. They have higher standards than American’s and simply won’t accept poor fit and finish on a new vehicle.

The Shanghai assembly plant supposedly has the highest vehicle quality among all Tesla plants.

Still waiting on an appoint from them that includes everything. I know that will not want to fix some things but I want everything documented and so far they just keep ignoring me. The estimate of work only includes only the front bumper scratch and some checks for the door strap joint bolts and the door striker fasteners.
