I'll bet Dollars to Donuts. If Tesla is there, they will "display" a Cybertruck! :p

They may even allow people inside of it too.o_O
They might just take one of the prototypes, tho.

Looks like they might be the only major North American automaker actually building cars that weekend. Why not strike while the enemy is sleeping (or decimated by a union strike).

hey, I don’t really disagree that we might expect to see one

I just wanted clarity that the expectation was NOT based on any explicit assertion from Tesla or the show that there WOULD be one

that might change whether, for example, someone made travel plans on the *possibility* vs the *guarantee*

that said, I could tell you a number of reasons Tesla WOULDNT show a CT at that show occurring 9 days from now prior to having had an official CT launch event

If they were to have one, it would be blocked off an inaccessible - they aren’t going to let journalists crawl through and button-push a CT prior to its official release event
What if they do the reveal at the auto show?!

??‍♂

fun idea if only because it means sooner than later

but I don’t see Tesla swinging from boycotting the show one year, to the next letting it have Tesla’s biggest reveal in a decade

Mod 3 highland on the other hand…

Why would they promote DC fast chargers?

The FPL Chargers are a flat rate service that charges your EV during off-peak hours. You pay $31/$38 per month for the equipment (depending on whether you have a couple of spare circuits in the your panel) and no additional cost for the charging.

The staff at the show were some minimum wage 20-somethings that really were there to escort you to the ride-along. Any questions regarding the charger program were answered by pointing to a QR code that littered every flat surface of the locale.

It is a Level 2 charger.

So not CCS chargers. They'll work with a Tesla either with a different cable, or a fairly inexpensive adapter.

Usually chargers like that will have a version with a Tesla connector on it, since 70% of EVs in the US are Teslas.
