The whole "oh, no, fingerprints!" thing was so overblown it's still trying to come back to reality. Some people were pushing this narrative like it was the end of the world.
I was interviewed by the freaking WSJ about it hahaha

PPF wrap by a detailed will cost a lot, at least in my Boston area. I got two quote for a satin black ppf wrap: $7k, $9k, and $6500. The CT is the easiest to wrap due to the straight panels, yet the price is still crazy high…like almost 10% of the price of the vehicle.

Personally, I like the SS look but do think the satin/matte black looks awesome. If I do it, I’m gonna go the Twraps DIY route.

Yes if you plan to keep it for years, no if you plan to trade or sell (most wraps cost 4-6k unless you DIY then have at it lol)

Skip the wrap and buy a case of Sprayway Ammonia Free. We have similar issues with road salt in NJ, it's remarkable easy to spray on and wipe clean the gunk and funk and no need to worry about scratches. Any wrap is going to take more damage from the elements than the stainless steel body on your CT. I'm 7 months on the road and not even a speck of rust, it's a joke if you ask me.

You naked guys can mock the "finger prints" issue all you like. I can tell you without a shadow of doubt that wrapped/PPF is better experience than naked. When my CT was naked I was dealing with (you can check my post history to confirm my complaints):
  • Finger prints
  • Bird droppings leaving marks/stains
  • Inconsistent panel sheen
  • Inconsistent patina if I used Bar Keepers friend to remove the bird stains.
  • Water spots.
  • Stocking and using different products to deal with the above issues.
Now with a light blue PPF I have none of those issues and I have gone months without washing the CT and you cant even see dust on it (its there, its just hard to see on a light color). I am such a proponent of it, if SS is your favorite color/finish, I recommend you get a wrap that matches it.

I was, but no longer, part of the need for wrapping the CyberTruck gang. Keeping the stainless looking good ? was my major concern while waiting for 5 years. As I have posted before, I now believe all the truck needs to keep the truck looking great is simply find a good full rotating brush car wash that sprays with GRAPHENE TYPE wax at the end. For $45/mo, I take my car through at least once a week and sometimes twice. The brushes do a great job of burnishing the stainless steel, similar to when you got it; Infact better because the finish is now uniform brushed finish from panel to panel, and adds a very uniform wax water beading finish. it does a great job of reducing fingerprints too.

My experience with hand wax grapheme waxes has not been good. It is extremely difficult to make a uniform looking finish, but the spray on wax from the car wash leaves a nice uniform finish on everything; stainless, glass, plastic To protect the finish.
