I was looking at prototyping this exact type of replacement, considering that most states that require side mirrors are often very vague at what technically constitutes as a "mirror".
Yeah. What if one puts there a similar wedge-shaped delete with a 0.25" x 1" mirror on its back...

Billet Aluminum Mirror Delete Kit - https://cybertruckco.com/product/cybertruckco-billet-aluminum-mirror-delete-kit/

Finally arrived today and installed, looks badass! Took 15min to remove mirrors and install.

Pros: sleeker look, like the concept, better side visibility across the A piller. I like the detail lines on them, match the locking caps.

Cons: takes a second to look at the center screen when using turn signals for the camera. Although if you glance at the side and somebody there the red warning light comes on.

I know other customers shipped today as well.

what do you guys think?

definitely shows you don't own Tesla-degree of common sense, dude!
If it was common sense, all the companies would be doing it.

They look like high end motorcycle parts.

She also has has the lift rod mods that’s being finalized now; 5/8” higher in low, 1” higher in medium and 2” higher in high mode. Rides just as nice and sits like a proper truck now
What are these lift mods you speak of?

legacy autos are shackled with contracts, dealerships, bureaucracy etc-no chances of going lean.

It’s not just legacy auto though. Space companies, traffic planning, tunnel boring, mining, power grid, etc. Additionally all the “normal” people who lust after super cars, rice rockets, hot rods, etc. My point of view is that till EM came along, this philosophy of the best part is no part was not a commonly shared point of view. Even now, it is a small minority viewpoint and often misapplied even then.

I'd prefer a plain thin aluminum or ideally stainless steel plate to match the truck more and not stand out. Don't really care for the stepped high look of those.

people or companies who have brand loyalty & emotionally attached to the past are stuck in the past-Tesla will spear ahead with 48volt architect, SBW etc. This sub is about Cybertruck-don't get sidetrack.

Technical suggestion on mirror deletion devices for CT: Do you think you can put a small convex mirror on flat surface of your device on driver side as a "mini mirror?" Just about all the state laws I've seen does not offer a standard size measurement of the mirror surface. ? .

In California, the vehicle code says you need to have a clear unobstructed view of 200ft behind the vehicle.
